is it really so hard just to use the keys to move? the page loads almost instantly.... and this would be disasterous for the super elite hunters... because then they'll all click on the same spot after getting a location, and then the space would overload....and so will the server....and then the entire game goes: BOOM!

Lol... you know nothing about the display script...

It doesn't display everyone on that square...

And no, that wouldn't happen at all...

As for the suggestion, I don't think this'll happen...

The only time you know exactly where you want to go is when you are moving realms... or locating an elite on coords given to you...

This would be pointless to have for leveling, as there can be creatures on any square and the best way to find them is linear tracked movements...

And if someone is SE hunting, they can instantly move to the SE location... for multi sellers this can create an issue...

DA, You didn't just say this shouldn't happen to protect multi sellers of SE locations did you? lol.

I'll point out for the new player that wants to teleport (albeit burning stam) that once you get used to the keyboard movement process it is probably as fast as what you are proposing. I can cover 15-20 spaces (average distance from stairs in most realms) in under 10 seconds. If I had to open a map and click on a spot it wouldn't be much better.

This would also remove the need for the portals. Which are a gold sink and designed to make you go to certain locations to move around the world.

lol, this feature is in Gothador and is pretty nice, I would go for it, clicking my way across a map for a quest stinks. Im not worried so much about the stamina, just stinks lol. Also probably not going to happen but goth has a teleportation skill that is cool, maybe look into that as a skill, but then again I can see teleportation as being way overpowered in FS.

So yes, I vote YES for the swift mover option. It could be done just as in gothador, you type in the co-ordinates and boom, your there (the servers wont go boom either) It deducts the amount of stamina it would have taken you to walk there and saves time, also it wont let you do this if you dont have enough stamina, (target destination could not be reached because you dont have enough stamina) could be displayed.

It could be made that you can fast move to a zone or a portal, but not a location within a zone. Nice idea though :)

i deal with carpal tunnel and this would just be one more thing to easy up on using more hand power. the less i have to do, for the more to happen *thumbs up*

its like a 'doubler idea', this game before doubler was really lame, especially when i didnt have tharn's plug-in.

anything to make the game more efficient

i dont know if they can do this though. but maybe have a telelport price, where you bring up the map of the area you are in for gold and maybe different maps for more gold. and you just click the square you want to be on.

I seriously doubt that this will ever happen. It would be a lot of coding for the cows.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

i bet they can do it like how the portal works yet instead in bringing you to a island, you just go to certain coordinates. maybe have many 'teleporters' around the world of FS and when you go to them you can pick the location you want to go to for a certain price. stam/gold

Probably not more than you would think, plus they already more than know how to do it as its in another game of theirs. You have to pay a huge chunk of gold and do a quest in order to learn to swiftmove. Which is what is suggested. It does not allow teleportation.

I did suggest this teleportation would be nice and that maybe shifted this off topic.

With swiftmover you would still use the same amount of stamina to move and would not be able to tranport to other areas, (it would stop you at the beggining of maps or at portal warps) so you'd still have to use stamina and pay gold to portal. Really be no change except that You could travel faster (timewise).

IDK, I'm iffy on this... I wanted it when I first started playing... not so much now...

IF this ever gets added, make it so you can only port to any location in the SAME REALM that you are in now... so you still have to use staircases and such...

But the downside to this is sometimes there are obstacles you have to move around... a direct teleport would only calculate distance... so you are removing a bit of the walking stamina sink that is in place...

yes, the skill could only be used to go anywhere in your current location.

Say your in Dekma (west) say you at 10,10 Using this you would enter co-ordinates 5,5 and your character would then quicktravel to location 5,5 in Dekma (west) and use the same amount of stamina it would normally take to walk there, at least thats how I imagine it. I myself would love to have this for quests, some others would want it for SE hunting, the SE hunting is where the problems with this would more than likely occur though.
