the only relics held for this long are usually relics nobody wants, in high level areas, where you don't even have to sit and defend, nobody even attempts to take the relic. Any good relics are usually fought over time after time, over and over. they rarely go 10+ hours without being taken.

you say its untrue...but give no evidence to such. name one relic thats worth keeping (i.e stam gain/xpgain) that isn't held by a top 25 guild constantly. The only time one is held longer, is when one guild gets tired of attacking it....eventually another top 25 guild gets uppity and they start the relic capture war all over again. atm its a pointless cycle.


Your original post didn't say that the relic had to be held by a top 25 guild. It simply said that any good relics rarely go 10+ hours without being taken, which is untrue.

eh, the only relics currently worth holding, which have been held for more than 10+ hours, are despair crystal and Udan Sun Orb. the rest change hands fairly often, and its usually between top guilds. Udan Sun Orb is relentlessly guarded by The Wicked Players, always has been always will be, and TEW just put as many players as they could on despair crystal.

Panic has held the Ethereal Pillars for days. That makes for 6% of the total relics held for an extended period of time and a lot higher percentage of the worthwhile relics held (can't be bothered to review the stats of all relics). A far cry from the claim that any worthy relic is rarely held for more than 10 hours.

btw... regarding TEW, do you another way to defend a relic?

and how many attempts have been made? I suspect few by any guild that has a chance. thats 3 relics. and even those 3 relics get fought over. just because nobody has the -ability- to take them doesn't mean they aren't fought over :P. and in the past (maybe not this week, but on average) even those relics aren't held as long as they are currently being held.

i'm sorry, but that still doesn't demonstrate that a worthwhile relic is rarely held for 10+ hours (the original premise).

oh well... at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.

no.. you already have defending bonuses, which means you can VERY easily make it so the only way to take your relic is by getting a 2% hit.. If I only have a 50/50 chance, I don't want to wait an hour before trying again.. Also you can theoretically have 124 people guard a relic, and only 50 attempt to capture.

I say no. If someone attacks a relic and can't take it, the penalty is the wasted stamina used. Why put a restriction on when they can attack again? What is the "game improvement" reason for this? If a guild has the stamina and the number of people online at once to repeatedly attack a relic let them. Someone remind me if DW works in relic capture. If it does - nix that so you couldn't take advantage of that loophole. But, as for timed non-attack I'm against it.
