my sugestion is more of a concept but basically i want to describe a serious problem and BEG for a solution. Basically once you get a large inventory, i have like 40 slots, others have ALOT more, it is almost impossible to identify an item sent to you from a character unless they give you a fairly good description.

my suggestion is:
when someone sends you something, you have some way of knowing what it is, either by a link where you see the knew item as bold or in some other way they stand out (maybe as a seperate screen where you can't click on it, but just view it, similar to the screen after you won an auction in the ah, where you click on the item to put in your backpack), or maybe what the new items are, are spelled out in the notification that new items have been sent to you.

Or why not make it just like the AH mailbox?

And if they are guild-tagged items and the timer expires the items go back to the guild store.

Why make it so difficult, with a mailbox and whatnot? A nice simple [Player-this-and-that just send you "Rune of Phale"] would do fine in my book

either method would work, but I agree something needs to be done. with 130 BP slots and messages like "Player1 sent you 1 item..." it gets a little maddening trying to figure out what they just sent you..

For once I'm glad to have a small bp.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

i think this was suggested somewhere... :?

but it should also tell you what crafting and hell forge the item was too...as sometimes you can be stocking up on LE items *cough*plague*cough* and not know what plague item some person sent you... :(

Yep, this has been requested before and would be nice to have (at least the notification part). Although I'm not sure what that would look like if they sent you multiple items at once.

In the meantime, there's a little trick you can use if someone sends you an unidentified item. If you go to the "Send To Player" screen, the last items added to your bp will be listed at the bottom. It's not the most convenient option but it will help if you have no idea what you were sent otherwise. :)

It's what I use :)

Two cents... LOL :)

id like to see the following:

- one "extra" backpack folder which would be colored slightly different and would have a name like "Temp"

Posted Image

- when you click on it you would go to the following screen

Posted Image

-> the names would be the links to players bios...
-> the boxes would be the items the player has sent us

- after first viewing the items would go to Main folder*
*or could remain there for some time, lets say 24 hours - during that time the player would have an option to send them to desired folder and after the time has ran out the items would automatically go to main folder (in that case the Temp folder would have checkboxes and drop list for sending the items to folders and possibly even "drop" and "send back" option)

- the temp folder would of course occupy players backpack slots
- temp folder would only be visible if theres something in it...

and that's why it won't happen... extra temporary folders for stuff people sent you.

the log description is possible though..

I'm 100% for something simple like saying "so&so" sent you "such&such" in your log. I'm the merchant for the our guild and I get tons of stuff sent to me, and it isn't always easy to sort or what came from who! Another folder wouldn't help identify who sent what, unfortunately.
