I think in PvP, one's Virtual Level should be used to determine only who can attack that person, not the other way round.
So, somebody with VL 100 and actual level 50 could only attack people between 45 and 55, but could be attacked both by 45-55 and 95-105 range.
VL in PvP as one-way restriction?

That would kind of defeat the purpose of virtual level in the first place, but I like it anyway.

nope...
virtual level was meant to protect the lower levels from higher levels attacking them.
and the lvls 45-55 would have a much lower chance to win, since the level up points stay on the person
