Why dont you implement temple at wich you can sacrifice legendary, super elite, epic items?
You chance of pleasing the gods woudl be greater if item was hellforged, of higher craft,..
In return you gain random rewards from gods:
Some awasome buffs, best if othewise unavaliable
random x% xp gain to your character (this one woudl have to be limited:).
random amount of stamina
some other bonuses
Anything worth wasting you precious items on
Maybe you coudl also give occasional free backpack slot or some other reward like that (I suppose you woudl want too keep chances of special rewards liek that low).
I guess there are many kinds of rewards possible.
Tempel for where you can sacrifice LE, SE,... items.

Well, the rewards would have to match up to the sacrificed item.
It would really suck to give up a 90 FSP Cobweb Sickle and gain a backpack space... which is worth 15 FSP...
What if the temple was a type of stat booster, you enter the item. There's a x% chance that you lose it, a x% chance it becomes "Enchanted." Kinda like Hell Forge or Crafting. The chance to boost it would have to be low, otherwise its like "hey, I'll just chuck this Boots of Almar in there, if I win, cool I just forged it for free! If not, I lost only pocket change."
Or maybe a downside like there's a 25% chance to get it enchanted, 25% to fail, and 50% chance that the Gods are displeased or something like that and you (say) lose the ability to use a backpack space for a week, or maybe your stamina gain drops by 5 for a week, something like that.

Sinho thats an interesting idea for rewards and enchanting items.
But I guess peopel are to blind to see benifits of this. Guess they rather suffocate with useless LEs with useless items.
That woudl at least help out with flooding of AH with worthless "legendary" items and make them good for something.
And I think rewards coudl be same for all legendary items, if you want to sacrifice the most expensive one, thats your problem:).
God helps those who help themselfs. Wasting most expensive items is not really helping anyone:)
