5 Level Restriction on PvP

So my suggestion: Take away the 5 level above limit so that, lets say, I, a lvl 266 (for now, probably will be going down soon) can hit TDA at level 300 something (which I would never do because he is just that awesome).

I understand why there is a 5 level limit on hitting people below your level, but is there any reason why higher leveled people should be protected as well? With their levels, they should gain more experience with setups as well as having equipment advantages.

Higher level players should be protected because then lower level players can keep attacking them, and they would loose more exp per death than if they were attacked by players their level.
Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

Higher lvl players should have enough experience to have sets that wont let a lvl 1 attack them. This would promote PvP for sure... which is definitely needed!

Well that was brought up by darkarchon, but I would imagine something like this might work...I understand why there is a 5 level limit on hitting people below your level, but is there any reason why higher leveled people should be protected as well? With their levels, they should gain more experience with setups as well as having equipment advantages.

If I hit TDA and took lets say 300k exp and gold and PvP and whatever else there is to lose, then he would be able to retaliate with a hit on me and if he used the exact same amount of stam on me, it would also hit me for 300k which would mean I would be at more of a loss than him since 300k is more significant of a %age at my level than at his. If he used more or less stam it would then be in ratio to the amount of exp that I took.
I know its not perfect, but its a starting idea.

That topic is slightly on a different topic since I am focusing on gold hitters and such as well as people with vendettas against others higher leveled.http://forum.fallensword.com/viewtopic.php?t=72144
Maybe this will promore PvP more. Freshly made thread.
My second addition to the suggestion would also fix the problem of slightly lower levels being able to pester slightly higher levels since the slightly higher levels can't take exp (by slightly I mean within the 5 level range). I read a thread recently on that problem.
EDIT: To clear up confusion, the higher level could only hit the lower level if and only if the lower level had hit them earlier. Perhaps set a time limit like bounty placing.

I actually talked with darkarchon about his thoughts and mind. I think a good mixture of the ideas would work well. Again, I made this thread with gold hitting in mind, so I doubt the 10 stam rule would affect this much. About the revenge hit, I think he thought it out better than I did, and I agree that it would have to have the certain conditions that he specified.if there was a different way to bounty/'revenge' hit like in darkarhon's thread http://forum.fallens...pic.php?t=58371 then i see this happening because the higher level has a chance to hit back. and if 10 stam hits will only take pvp rating and nothing else, plus there is no bounty, i would like the 5 level limit taken away all together if this was applied. yet until they do SOMETHING to pvp there is little to get done with suggestions

it would give a chance for those to get high pvp and lots of gold because the higher level you go the higher pvp and gold on hand usually goes.

Yes, Please!!!!!!!
The high level players need some entertainment like that, while they are waiting for content updates. I don't think there should be any complicated additions, just remove upper limit and make it even simpler - instead of +/- 5 lvls -> attack anyone whose level is higher ... the same rule can be applied to GvG conflicts...
As for revenge hits, keep it stupid simple - give some work to the bounty hunters.. 1 hit (even 100 stamina hit) will be revenged with 10+ hits on the BB, so don't worry, just place fsps bounty every hour
