I agree 5 is too little, but a limit should be imposed...

I suggest that you don't lose XP from PvP outside of 5 levels, but only Rating and Gold.

This might work.

:lol: Nothing I've seen here yet gives any incentive to the high levels. What's in it for them? The only advantage I'm seeing is for the lower level gold hitters.

Lol high levels will gain valuable knowledge of how to create a better PvP setup or to guard their PvP points and gold as jealously as lower levels have to. Its less of a perk for any group of people, and more of a reform of PvP to make it more appealing.

make it even simpler - instead of +/- 5 lvls -> attack anyone whose level is higher

It won't happen, because like someone said, there's nothing in it for higher level players, say 400+. I always lock after going through new content anyway, but not everyone does. Besides, if they hit during hunting, even a level 20 player wearing Plague could kill a 500+ player when the latter is using a CA setup with all damage and no def/arm. How is that "a challenge" someone wanted? Sure, it is - for said higher levels.

I know... That's just a desparation. Since devs don't have time or will to implement any of complicated suggestions to the PvP and GvG systems, everybody is looking for the changes that can be easy implemented... :(

Oh, oh! Get rid of regular PvP? :) After all - "The PvP Arena is an area where players can compete on a balanced playing field to prove who really is the best at PvP!" :D

Ok, I feel like I have to take a break from suggesting/discussing anything regarding PvP or GvG... after all, everybody can choose when to quit playing if the game becomes boring ... Probably, I am not exactly the demographic HCS shoot for.

True, but we were discussing a revenge hit.

Say, for every 5 levels higher you are than your attacker you are able to take 2% more xp from a 100 stanima hit than you normally would. So say if i attacked you you would have the option to attack me back for around 90% more xp loss than normal.
For me that would be around 40,000 xp.

And say instead of the bounty system, where you can only bounty a person for 1 attack and every attack after the first is unavailable to be bountied, you can have multiple revenge hits. 1 attack upon you is 1 revenge hit. this effect could stack and each revenge hit would last for the 48 hours.


This makes it so that the consequences are greater if you aim for a higher level.

Either way, the current cap on +5 is too low.

No mate, i mean if a lower player attacks a significantly higher level person, the lower level person can face a greater punishment. The revenge hits are to help the higher levels find justice.


So say if i hit a lvl 400 5 times, the level 400 has the option of placing 1 bounty or has the option of hitting me 5 times and deal an increased amount of XP damage against me.

So say i lose 20k-25k xp per 100 stam hit against me. the level 400 would get a bonus and could deal around 62% more xp damage per 100 stanima hit against me. so i would end up losing 30-40k experience instead.

Ok then. Level 83 to 84 is 204,190 xp. Say you lose 1/4 of the level in a "revenge" :roll: hit. A level 500 player loses about 1/3 of the level in a regular, non-bounty 100 stamina hit. Level 500 to 501 is 7,485,010 xp. How much stamina does it take you to regain that 1/4 you lose? The same amount it does for the 1/3 of a level 500 player?

It's easy to be all cool about PvP if you're level XX.

they would to come up with better bounty/revenge styles to make this fair if you are going to be able to take experience from higher levels.

BUT as i said before. if you go past the +5 mark, YOU ARE ONLY TAKING GOLD AND PVP RATING and theres no bounty. with this the high levels can accept the hit alot more, they just left too much gold on hand or had a good pvp rating. PLUS it would bring back the PvP ladder because you could take PvP rating(which usually are higher, the higher level you get) without fear of a bounty and basically lose what PvP rating you just gained.

and i dont want to hear anything like, o a lower level can keep attacking me for my pvp rating all day. its PVP rating. if you care so much for it, DO SOME PVP!!!!! instead of just buying your rating ;P

for this to work even better. they need have it where you use 10 stam hits and you only take gold and/or pvp rating and theres no bounty. this would bring back PvP in a BIG way.

PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH PVP HCS!

How about if the the exp loss is eliminated for players x number of levels higher than the attacker. And you should be able to bounty any attack i think.

pvp is nerfed enough without fear of bounty and losing 5 levels. we have to OPEN up pvp so its used a bit more instead with just hatred and thievery

Who here is scared of losing 5 levels? I sure am not. I'd rob anyone if I could. If a level 100 player could defeat me, then surely I need to work on my PvP rather than leveling (which is quite boring).

I mean, with the improvement of buffs, it's very easy to level up. What the real challenge today is defeating others.

I propose:
we take away the five level limit;
we impose a 100 level limit;
player A loses XP only if player B is within 10 levels less than player A;
XP loss will be exponential by factor of level difference;
Gold and PvP Rating will change as of now;
Retaliation within 10 levels is either a bounty or a return hit, normal gold and rating loss;
Retaliation within 100 levels more than 10 levels is a return hit, normal gold and rating loss

with the improvement of buffs its VERY easy to defeat others. very easy. with dc225 making defense sets into nothing.
