That's why I don't use DEF sets, but First Strike sets and Buffs.

I mean, with the improvement of buffs, it's very easy to level up. What the real challenge today is defeating others.

with the improvement of buffs its VERY easy to defeat others. very easy. with dc225 making defense sets into nothing.

especially if they also use keen edge

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

Who here is scared of losing 5 levels? I sure am not. I'd rob anyone if I could. If a level 100 player could defeat me, then surely I need to work on my PvP rather than leveling (which is quite boring).

I mean, with the improvement of buffs, it's very easy to level up. What the real challenge today is defeating others.

I propose:
we take away the five level limit;
we impose a 100 level limit;
player A loses XP only if player B is within 10 levels less than player A;
XP loss will be exponential by factor of level difference;
Gold and PvP Rating will change as of now;
Retaliation within 10 levels is either a bounty or a return hit, normal gold and rating loss;
Retaliation within 100 levels more than 10 levels is a return hit, normal gold and rating loss

I vote for that idea so far, but i would let the people in the 100+ range keep the choice between bounty or revenge hit.

So:
Retaliation within 10 levels is either a bounty or a return hit, normal gold, xp, and rating loss;
Retaliation within 100 levels more than 10 levels is either a return hit or a bounty, normal gold and rating loss.

I"m sure its already been suggested, but here is why I say no: Say I decide to attack Joe777 for his pvp. He's far too high a level to attack me again meaning clearly that he cannot have retaliation other than a bounty being placed on me which does really nothing for him. Sorry but no.

Yeah I cannot see this being beneficial to anyone except the players who like to pvp. That is not everyone in the game and it is not everything in the game so my vote is no on this.

Apart from the xp loss I for one would not want the range available to the gold thieves out there to increase.

I agree PVP needs work, but this is not the answer. DA has some great ideas and should look at those a bit more.

If you read even the rest of the first page, there are modifications so that it isn't like that.

Also if you read past the first post, you would find that this incorporates a lot of DA's idea's since we discussed this for a while.

So if what you say holds true for everything else in the game, then why does HCS put out new maps and equipment? Not everyone in the game likes to level.

The whole point of it is to make people more aware of how to utilize PvP. If gold hitters gained a larger range, then you would be constantly more aware of how much gold you have and your stats. Then, if you got hit a couple times, you would try to work with PvP more so that you wouldn't lose when you got hit. Thus increasing the awareness and usefulness of PvP, which is the whole point of all these suggestions about PvP.

Oi mate, read the rest of the topic, we went over that issue by bringing up "retaliation hits"

Hey I came here to put my 2c in. I did that. I am not here to debate anything. Nor am I here to be questioned by you on every other aspect of the game. The thread is here for the purpose of increasing the PvP levels.

I do not like the gold stealing part of the game but accept that it is a part of it.

I am not going to try and dictate to anyone how and why they should play. Different people enjoy different aspects of the game.

Along with that is the fact that there are aspects that people do not enjoy.

I stand by what I said. It is my opinion and debating it will not change that opinion.

I do not like the gold stealing part of the game but accept that it is a part of the game. As such I am not going to try and dictate to anyone how and why they should play. Different people enjoy different aspects of the game. Saying that though the fact is that there are allot of people who play who do not enjoy the PvP aspect of the game.

In my opinion this suggestion has nothing to do with 'helping' people to learn how to PvP but to give the people who enjoy PvP a wider range of people to attack. If it is implemented I will accept HCS decision to do so. That does not mean I have to like it.

The only time I will attack someone is for a friend or ally and it is on a bounty they have put up on a gold thief. The game already gives me that aspect of PvP so I am happy.

I stand by what I said. It is my opinion and debating it will not change that opinion. This is for the sole purpose of the people who like to PvP and I do not enjoy it unless it is for the purpose if taking a bounty on a gold thief via a bounty, so my opinion is valid.

Everyone else can now carry on discussing this. I have said my piece :D
