With lack of detail I will assume it is because you were hitting a creature that is too strong for you and/or your equipment is not the best you can use for your level. At your level you should be hitting rats.

I was going for Natives.

Yep that would be why. They are stronger than you. Stick to the rats. Also try to get some more equipment for your level. I see you do not have much.

For levelling up areas and what creatures to hit see this link. It says to hit the Goblins for lvl1-2 so try that. If it does not work hit rats only until you build xp in order to be stronger and hit higher level creatures.

That's good. Try to get more equipment as well. Sometimes they are dropped by the creatures you hit and at other times you will need to buy them from the AH (Auction House) or from a shop in the realms. Also look through this forum as there are a few higher level players who look to be willing to help the lower levels with equipment.

Here is a link to the FS Guide (a really good info directory for FS which players use. It is really good). Keep the link save as a bookmark because you will refer to it constantly throughout your travels. One of the many things the FS Guide gives you is information on equipment at different levels.

Take the time to play around in the FS Guide so that you are familiar with how it can help you.

Have fun :D
