Hey everyone! Not sure if this topic has ever come
up befor but here goes....
200x200 Jpegs is all we can use for now right?
will it be possible in the future to be able to
use .gif animation? .gifs are larger than .jpegs
so that's the reason for my question.....,,,its fun to make them
so it would be awesome to make some art to
display on the site!

there actually is a logical explanation why we can only use jpegs...
animated gifs would be larger thus making more strain on the image server.
animated gifs would also be annoying to most of the people and even if the size was limited to 10 KB, one could make a simple black and white seizure inducing gif...
pngs would be nice, though. but there is no real reason to add them since they usually have worse quality than jpg for the same size... and all jpgs are compressed to under 15 KB for the game...
this suggestion isnt the first one that proposed animated gifs, but the answer still remains the same - there is no real use in allowing it and it would mostly just be annoying...
