What about FSP in the auction house, put about 30 of them in there hourly a couple times a week, in with the potions, With a starting bid of 50k, and a buy now option of 100k.

And in the upgrades, make an option to buy fsp for 100k.



no..... makes fsp easier to attain making gold worth less... accomplishes nothing...hoof will not give you a win button

What about a pawn shop? You put your items in, and you get gold or fsp depending on the value, and for each day that goes by you have to pay 5k more then you owe.


the idea of a gold sink is to take gold OUT of the game, not bring more in.


That is not bringing more gold in say you get 40k with 5% interest that is 2000 gold taken out of the game daily. +5k a day, so its 7k

He just doesnt understand how pawn shops work apparently.

I may be wrong on this... who knows I could be dead wrong.

If people held more gold (such as in their banks) would that drive the price of gold up or down? Gold is always out there- you kill something - you get gold. When it's spent, it's usually transfered from one person to the other- and the only way to get rid of it perminately is by using the marketplace or scavenging (or buying items at shops on the world map).

If holding gold (and not spending it) brings down the price, then maybe we should have a monthly gold hoarder medal. That will give people a reason to hoard gold and not spend it......
.... as I'm saying this I'm thinking about the banks in the US not lending money lmao.

It's hardly a suggestion, more like hitting a pinata and being curious if anything will fall out.

Anyway, if this is true- then the gold hoarding monthly reward should be awarded to the top 3 players after getting 30 days in that slot. More people should be able to get it, but it should take longer time to actually get the reward...

Of course, if hoarding gold will only bring up the price of gold, it's a moot idea.

Hoarding gold indefinitely effectively removes it from the game. Now hoarding it and then trying to buy all the FSPs you can with it at one time will drive the price higher since the demand for gold hasn't changed, yet the supply of it has increased.

Renaming of Players / Guilds.

You put a price on it say like
player name change is 5mil
Guild name change is 50mil.

You would be able to set Name restrictions on them containing admin or mod.
or any abusive / sexual words, and would have to be a name not currently being used.
This would give people who made a character with a name that they don't like anymore
a chance to change it which i'm sure many would do.

I'm not saying the first day everyone is going to run and do guild and character name changes but
even if only 3-5 guilds do a name change over the course of a month thats a good chunk of gold off the servers. over all 50 mil isn't very hard to come by eaither for a guild.

HCS can simply control the market, as there is a way to sell fps for gold you just have to make the reverse function and have a more flexible exchange rate.

AH
Same thing for the AH, HCS has hes own agents acting to keep value for the items. Any item bought by the agent gets automatically dropped. You can also make a an HCS shopping center where u can sell otherwise overvalued items.

Send Item, Secure Trade
You can also limit the Gold,FSP and Item free transfer between players, this can stop abuses, all except inside guild transactions. Players can make charity but should be made available in the limit of his level, can not offer free fsp or gold to a more xp player and the amount should be limited in base of his level, control buffing trade for gold and FSP and maybe charity items can not be resoled?!

Fun
HCS can also be more active into the game, have contests, all kind of awards for fast leveling, specially for low level players (limited charity should ensure that will be no abuse). You can recruit players for this jobs and pay them some fees :)

Medals
Medals can be exchanged for unique recipes, I wold like very much to have Adize's Helm with unique stats according to the time I achieved the medal and start over the medal "maybe i can make it faster"... Maybe those items should come with an free slot, can not be damaged and can't be soled also.

Just a few thoughts... sounds like a different game? :))


everything i thought of sounded like it would achieve nothing in my head so i went ahead and quoted again on one that i like

(raise the usefulness of gold sinks=more players using money=less money in game=lower market prise=more players buying fsp=raise in market prise)
or the other way
lower usefulness of gold sinks=less players using money=more money in game=higher market prise=less players buying fsp=lower in market prise)
either way it wont help

I hate to say it cuz i would hate to have to pay it but here is a gold sink idea
charge a minimal fee per posted item for using the ah and have it pulled directly from your bank like 10gold or something low ...its not a ton......but at tons of auctions it adds up ......oh ya not sure if anyone said it yet

i also think it should be added to the time difference so at the 1 hour post it would be 10gold and the 48 hour post it would be 4800 that should make for some damn good gold sinking

How about changing the AH so when you make a succesfull bid on an item and the timer is close to running out it also increases the timer. This would increase the gold GMs receive from the Special section of the AH, by putting an end to "auction sniping", which i hate vehemently.

Take a 10 % sales tax at the Auction House (only for gold auctions).
Maybe that would stop some people ( not to say double accounters) to misuse the AH as a temporary bank. 8)

nice thought but that does not take into account the fsp posts and most people using the ah as storage post the items for an insane amount of fsp up to the max of 1000 fsp so not really a plausible idea imo

Make new and better equipment items for sale at in-game shops.

Make fsp purchasable through the system for a high gold cost (250,000 is a good number). I have NEVER seen a listing of fsp for sale on the marketplace, only purchase requests.

Make buffs purchasable through the system for an appropriate gold cost. Visit the local shaman and get Rage and Doubler cast on you. It costs stam to travel to these guys so players selling buffs will still have demand for their services.

Add Super Elites to scavenging (not sure if this is already done though).

Right now the big thing that everyone is interested in is the GvG conflicts so lets use that. Right now the cost of initiating a conflict is 1 FSP and some small gold amount. If we eliminate the FSP from it and simply increase the gold amount. It is of course a small gold sink but the way it is currently working it is acting as an FSP sink more than a gold sink and thus driving up the cost of FSP in yet another way.

Join a tournament. (limit here im sure)
Recieve a start time. (or open tables are always good))
Refresh to make play action. (if you dont make a play in a reasonalble time,you forfit)
Win,lose or draw have fun. (and hopefully take someone gold MuhahaHA)

I haven't got the time to read all the posts, so I just hope nobody already made this suggestion:

Sell RP points to players for maybe 3 million gold each. That way all players would be able to get RP points to play with, and it might be possible for smaller, weaker guilds to keep their higher levelled members easier, since they could then buy RP packs or make items even in smaller guilds.

I dunno, just a thought. :)

with as many free poker sites as there are ..i would think ...

and its really not far off from arena concept except more interaction..

i really dont know where the line is drawn for "Gambling" ..Does anyone?¿

It could be, if it was a lot... and 3 million isn't too much really (might be too little depending on how you look at it). Most players around my level get more than that in a hunt, so it would be cool if they could buy an RP point after each hunt, kind of like buying FSP.

To get a chanse to reap the benefits of RP points now, you need to be in a good titan hunting guild, or a guild that likes to GvG. Most guilds don't do either, and so a lot of people try to join guilds that do, so they can get advantage of the level 200 buff packs too, and maybe access to some of the new epic gear.
