What, do you want to be sitting at your computer all day? For some games like this are better than 'play all day' ones, here you can have a life outside of the game without worrying about people playing 24/7 zipping past you. Maybe this game isn't for you, but there are plenty out there that probably will be.

And I assure you, wandering around won't waste your day. Even at level 1 you have 500 steps to take, and unless you're trying to walk on every single square on the map or something that's plenty to do all the quests in the area and go further. One death will not set you back at all, and especially at the lower levels.

Though I see your point, when I signed up I was paranoid about stamina.

Then I realized that I would have it full again in 10 hours, and in that time the rest of the player community would barely budge at all. Not being expert will not set you back, I've never given a cent to the game, I've upgraded stamina gain once, and I'm in the top 7,000.

just play once or twice a day, and get off the computer, and get outside, or something! :)

Yeah, it really fluctuates a ton at the lower levels. You need to be careful to get the best equipment you can (and repair your equipment by pressing 'r'), or else a 1-hit can turn into a 40-hit. After 20 levels it gets much more stable.

If you're hunting with any buffs on, then it would be a good idea to wait until you have some stamina saved up.
