Inactive Accounts

How you do this is make it when a player or guild are inactive for a certain time say 3months or 6 months and after you have sent them an email notifying of closure of their account.
So say after 2 weeks of inactivity on and account you put the inactive account as you do up the top and also the date they became inactive. If the player or guild comes back you just take it of.
If they don’t come back after 3 months from date of inactivity then the player or guild is then open for people to loot and be able to take their belongings. Like everything, Gold, Inventory, Backpack, Components, FSP, Buffs, PVP Level, XP level and even the stamina they have up at the time.
You can make it random in what it hands out to a player. And also the player has to use 100 stamina to be able to get anything. Once all the belonging and everything else is gone then the account is automatically deleted.
With the Gold, XP, Stamina, Buffs, FSP and PVP Level you get a percentage of 25% of what it was when the player became lootable. E.g. If the inactive player has 100 000 gold it will take 4 attempts at obtaining the whole 100 000 gold at 100 stamina each time they try.
You also make it like a bounty where any player can loot the inactive player or guild of course you have to have better stats than the player you are looting.
When a player loots a guild, the guilds stats go on the last player active before the guild became inactive.
The stats for the inactive player or guild stay the same even when inventory is taken.
It would also give out the extras that players or guilds have purchased. Like extra backpack spot, extra stamina each hour, extra gold each hour, extra XP each hour extra component spots.
This will bring a new dimension to the game, and new player who like this sort of thing. I am one of them of course, and you can then have the same as bounty and other things were you can win FSP for the highest looter for the month or most looted for the month and so on.
I use to play EDIT ~ Sens untill they made it so hard to get anything, there is thousands of people that all they do is hunt in the PVP zones so they can loot other peoples gear and they love it. I am sure if they heard of this upgrade then you would draw thousands more players to the game away from EDIT ~ Sens.

This is never going to happen, and I will tell you why. People do come back after months of inactivity, either because their schedules have changed, their rl friends that also play have dragged them back, or what have you. And you will never be able to pilfer items from any account. There is too much risk of abuse...

Exactly. Think of those in the Military or recovering from medical issues or even those who work and their job requires constant traveling

Some people just need a break. Who's to say they won't come back?

Also, my guild's original founder joined on 05/Dec/2006 and is player ID 72. He had stopped playing at level 36 and was inactive for a very very very long time. We'd kept him in a special rank, even though he only had about 100k guild XP. Recently, other guildmates found him on SS2 and encouraged him to come back, and he did.
NO to the suggestion in this thread.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

Or my friend, who quit for awhile, he donated to the game. If his fsp was taken, that's pretty much stealing. }: (

Ok everyone. If you look at other games like EDIT ~ Sens for instance. If you don't log into the game for a certain time (not sure how long) they delete all the items you have. Now I put several hundred dollars maybe even 1 thousand dollars into that game and still to this day have alot of items. At least 4 hundred dollars worth. But they can delete this if I don't log in. What it does having inactive players is load the server with data so they will have to have bigger drives and bigger more expensive machines to run it. In turn they up the cost of upgrading the game just like EDIT ~ Sens did. So when they start doing this I don't want to hear the crying from you all. There are alot of benifits for this but you all seem to be narrow minded about it and are afraid it might happen to you. I am not talking about looting them after 1 week of inactivity, it could be up to a year before they are aloud to be looted. I for one do not want the game to get more expensive to support people that aren't in the game.
You are missing the point... several inactive players that I know have returned after a long absence. Many of them donate heavily to the game. These players deserve to have an account to come back to. We are not narrow minded, just happy with the way things are. This is not EDIT ~ Sens, it is Fallen Sword, and an active COMMUNITY. You are of course entitled to your opinion, and there may be several who agree with you... but it still remains that HCS does not. They will never delete a player or his/her items, FSP or banked gold, in hopes that they do find their way back to the game. I support them in this policy, and I think the majority of us do...
