so u say that players of level 1-10 are so smart enough to know what is good and what is bad within somedays of playing? Sigma Storm II gives us a clear information of every thing we do. And good players are adamant enough to put us on your ignore list. At least on asking a question on Super Elites, a SE hunter added me in his iggy listNothing stopped you reading the skill descriptions or asking someone

I didn't have any problems when I started...because I actually had a look around & read first.
If you were to apply a fix every time someone screwed up all you would be doing is rewarding stupidity rather than those that showed some form of intelligence.

but useless buffs like evade, AofP, fortify, great vigor, and rockskin trick new players, with their awesome names, into building up these skills and then after wasting skill points and stamina, they notice that these are the most useless buffs in the world. even if i spread out my level up points i will have a tough time one hitting in the later levels and these buffs wont help me in that department.
giving everyone a free reset and changing it for new players to get one free reset each would be a good thing for the game.

outside the forum that describes buffs and other aspects of this game well
Erm....read the forum then. It's not as if the information isn't out there.

when you start the game, like how you do in SS2, you SHOULD get a free skill and level up point reset. theres not that much information outside the forum that describes buffs and other aspects of this game well. take how stats work, has HCS ever told us how they REALLY work or is it just pasted down info.(i didnt learn it full until later into the game. i could of had a better time playing thru the lower levels knowing everything i do now)

one compromise would be skill reset that has to be used wthin 10 lvls or 1st week. I have some point into useless skill, (only 25point with 10 being really useless, as 15 is into QF) and they all come from early days. same with level up point. as is, I am not too badly off. I may do a reset at lvl 250+ though.
I do sort of like this compromise idea but I do not believe in retro actively giving everyone a free skill reset. Also, 15 pts in QF is not useless, it is daggone near ideal.

2 weeks down the line, there'll be more people who decided to start putting points everywhere without reading the descriptions or checking the forums.
If you have people that do this, what makes you think they'll use the reset wisely?

it just helps for those one time mistakes. you learn and if you make another mistake you will have to start paying for it.
