but useless buffs like evade, AofP, fortify, great vigor, and rockskin trick new players, with their awesome names, into building up these skills and then after wasting skill points and stamina, they notice that these are the most useless buffs in the world. even if i spread out my level up points i will have a tough time one hitting in the later levels and these buffs wont help me in that department.

They are not useless. They do increase your stats if you have level up points in defense, armor, and hp. It would be hard to 1-hit, but with buffs like DD, would it really be that hard? Plus, it would be a big boost to the three stats. It depends on how you want to play the game, that might be a good strategy for some (well...maybe not for great vigor :P )

i didnt say anything to that extreme. im just saying it would be nice to start giving new players a free reset like how SS2 does it. plus giving everyone else a free one too would be a nice gesture and you wont get those players complaining because they didnt get theirs.

it just helps for those one time mistakes. you learn and if you make another mistake you will have to start paying for it.

Its getting tiring to see comparisons of FS with "that other game not worth mentioning"..If you see that one as better, then pls quit FallenSword instead of asking to ruin it..

Just because lower leveled ppl screw up doesnt mean they should get a free reset "as a nice gesture". I had no idea which skills i needed long term when i was lower level, i asked POLITELY around and people told me.

Bootomline, when there is good reason for a reset it will happen. So, of course i voted NO to the poll too

I still have all my skills points saved. Honestly, not hard to figure out to save up your stats/points on any new game you start until you figure out the correct/most common configuration. The information is also easily obtained, you just didn't put in the effort.

+1, and ive messed up my skill points, and im not whining about it, save up some fsps and you can do it

Giving out "free" stuff all the time would just mean that fewer people will buy from HCS and they would make less money.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

Really, are 25 or so skill points in the "wrong" areas that big of a deal?

LOL, this post made me laugh :P

Out of everyone in this community, what makes YOU think that YOU deserve a free skill reset? Pay up ;)

The way I see it, you're lucky there is a option at all for a Skill Reset. Better start saving up FSPs :)

one compromise would be skill reset that has to be used wthin 10 lvls or 1st week. I have some point into useless skill, (only 25point with 10 being really useless, as 15 is into QF) and they all come from early days. same with level up point. as is, I am not too badly off. I may do a reset at lvl 250+ though. :)

Finally among so many players including me,someone did make sense

Free?

uhm...no?

If you don't know how to spend them, then don't do it.
If you do, you have to learn from your mistakes. How
much points you will lose? If you are really bad it will
take 10 lvls to find out, what will be 50 points...I got
2500 skill points atm, so those 50 wouldn't be a real
big deal. And there will be certainly a skill reset some
day, when there are new buffs again...so be patient
if you are looking for free stuff...

Making sense and agreeing with you are two different things entirely. The info is there in the newbie section of the forum you just have to search it out. I've paid for a reset. Oh well i should have done my research before blundering away without really putting much though into what i was doing. comparing this to ss2 is like comparing apples to oranges in terms of skill choices so any argument down the path of "you get a free one in ss2..." is moot.

most people don't read the forum when they begin. heck, they hardly read the wiki. No real training here either or way to delete/restart your guy. I would probably have delete/restarted as an option. losing few days at the beginning is no big deal. so, that could be an option in first 7 days. reset to day zero.

anyway, I am not looking for freebies. I am sure free reset will come sometime. I can afford to wait. if not, I will reset at lvl 300 or so. right overall, I am happy enough with my set.

The best way to learn is to make a mistake and get someone chewing on your hindquarters for being an idiot.

I got lucky having that help in my guild, so I have only a few wasted points in buffs I never cast.

QF was in that category for a while until I saw low level QF's in the market. SO I put a few more points in QF to make it worth putting out to market.

and SOMETIMES that USELESS skill is useful in a team situation.

So in a guild situation, if everyone had one "useless" skill maxed out each. hey can make some useful combinations out of them,

QF is great for getting those quest items even set at level 40. I turn it off after i have what i need or else i end up with a bp full of items.

Everyone has done a 'stupid allocation' at one point or another - we have had a few 'freebie resets' and still some dont learn including me. But why sulk over it - just dont keep adding to that skill.

I am waiting patiently for the next reset as I can't make up my mind of which skills to banish and which ones to acquire. Maybe between now and then I might have found the appropriate ones lol.
