Selling Quest items (ie the ones you need to complete the quests) defeats the objective in having you gather it as part of the quest in the first place.
Selling 1 hit bounties also defeats the objective of having a medal for completing bounties

no matter where you go, there you are :twisted:trying to sell them is ok, buying is not ... game or not, but peoples life style is here... buying diplomas and degrees, driver licenses, etc.. Sooner or later those people will realize that everything they have in their lives is fake, this is the worst of all punishments, it's impossible to hide from yourself...

Man, I wish I could just buy a diploma. They keep changing the graduation requirements for my major, so I've been stuck trying to graduate for two years now.trying to sell them is ok, buying is not ... game or not, but peoples life style is here... buying diplomas and degrees, driver licenses, etc.. Sooner or later those people will realize that everything they have in their lives is fake, this is the worst of all punishments, it's impossible to hide from yourself...

And for the record, I vote no for both - you're right, this is a game...if we don't have to actually DO anything, then what's the reason for playing?

To those being 'moral' about bounty hunting - what you class as worthwhile (i.e. the art of winning extended bounties to achieve a medal), may not correspond with my view, or of many others. Feel free to chat amongst yourselves, have a pact, or whatever, but don't whine on the forums about it. It's legal, so it won't go away.
As for quest items, I mean who really cares. The adventurer medals can't even all be obtained yet, and you have to be at the right level to start the quest anyway. With QF in the game it doesn't take much effort normally, so let them be sold!
Basically - these threads are redundant since nothing will be done to change it.
P.S. I don't sell 1 hit bounties, or quest items, but I can see reasons why people would.

None of them are against the rules, some people play the game for themselves and others have people help them play the game.
Do I do any of these things? No. I have had guildmates make gear/buff recommendatoins to me, but I still think for myself, I don't just equip blindly.
I have sniped 1 hit bounties that have popped up on the board, does that make me a bad person? I think not. Sniping 1 hit bounties probably would discourage people from actually buying/selling them.
Let the community deal with these people, we (the community) have ethical standards to which we hold ourselves. If someone deviates from these standards, the community is very good at dealing out proper punishment.

I vote both are ok to sell. Why? Because I can.
There are rules of the game and there is the practical existence of those rules - the act of playing the game. The rules of the game present a potentiality like a boy being the potentiality of a man. A player is then the ethical being that interacts with the rules and the fictional world, and whose choices are determined by the goals in the game, limited by the rules, and evaluated by a combination of the individual values, the players communities values, and the cultural, or in real life values. Human beings have to use their judgement to evaluate the situations in which they were immersed, and thus take choices according to the will of being a good human being. The rule set, in its own, contains the ways the game can be played, but only the presence of a player will activate those potentialities...
In other words, you activate those potentialities depending on what kind of person you are in real life and then you are evaluated by a combination of the individual values, the players communities values, and the cultural, or in real life values....

blah
To summarise - people do what they want within the rules, or outside them until they are caught....hence talking is pointless.

oddly enough thats what I got from avvakum as well.
I know that it is looked down upon but I am still willing to do it because consequences for it are meaningless to me. What are you gonna do take my levels? :?
though I must point out that so far I havent sold any one hit bounties but I am seriously thinking about it after all the complaining thats come from the forums.

Other players also can do what they want and disturb your gameplay (within the rules) till you quit the game.. Would talking be so pointless then? If buying 1 kill bounties is offensive to a group of players you should expect consequences.. at least, the existence of this group makes you think before you start to do what you want, you probably consider if this really is worth your gameplay or probably gameplay of your friends too...

.
Of course, if you are alone and don't care about your levels, and everything in this game, it's hard to harm you and likely you can do what you want to do... but do you enjoy the game that way? I don't think there are many players like you and it's a question of compromise here..
