How many times have you buffed someone cos you think they are online only to find that they have gone away but is does not show up straight away that they have logged out?

I know that we can see when they were last active and that does help but a simple notification of logged in or at least logged out would be better.

It would need to be instant, ie as soon as they logged out that status would be displayed on the either the guild list or there bio or both.

No more wasted buffs/posts=:D

If you care about your stamina, just send them a PM before you buff them to ask if they're in need of your buffs. And even if they are online, some people don't hunt when they have 500 stamina, but wait until all their x,xxx stamina is full. So even if they are online, they don't need buffs. Communicate!

Also, I never log out... I just occasionally get up from the computer. I imagine a lot of people do that.

Yeah, then you have the people who never logout AND never get up from the computer. I've known HonestBob to do that way back when. :)

I do that too. Even when I go to someone's house... I commandeer their computer and initiate a remote desktop session. :P They don't mind though, as they understand... ;)

I'd like to see it decreased to 5 minutes or something, because there's times I log out for a few minutes because I have to leave my computer for a couple minutes to do something and don't want anyone else at my house playing on my account.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

Posts like this really make me wonder how some other guilds are run. Communication, as has been said, is the main way to overcome this.

I don't see its a big deal if you actually talk to the bufee / buffer first.

I don't generally buff people who are not in game but have signed in to their youtube account.

Ah, I use the word 'talk' to cover any form of online communication that is in real or near real time.

Voice is so last century don't you think?

hah hah

This idea has been suggested several times, most people have just come up with a "Status - Online/Offline" thing at the top of the profile.

Yes, but many people forget to switch their's.

They do indeed forget to switch a lot of the time.

Easy thing to give us tho i think is a simple status notice:-

'Player is logged out'

I mean how hard is that?

Can't see a problem with that at all.

Its not likely to lag the game out or anything like that either.

Then maybe they'd forget to hit logout.

The easiest thing to do is to just communicate with your guildmates before buffing them.

Hello, see that little green light by my name? Or is it grey? If it's grey, I've been idle for 20 minutes. And it says right under my name how long it's been since I've been active. Don't want to take time to read that? Click on my guild name. If my dot is grey, I'm offline. It's not rocket science, guys. This has been implemented all along BTW, I have NEVER logged out of FS.

Just one old lady's opinion

Actually that does cause more lag in actual fact (more stress on the servers if a lot of people are doing it at the same time)

Also yeh the green light thing works but you have to search to see it its not that logistical.

When buffing, a note of logged in/out on buffing box would be better.
