Most of the time, if I delevel someone on the BB, I ask about a bonus. I make a screenshot and send to the poster.
just a general inquiry sparked by this post (something that has been bugging me since the dawn of "X fsp for each level lost"). i've never quite understood why being the person who actually causes another player to lose a level is the one rewarded. meaning that if a hot bounty is active with a lot of people attacking then isn't it more or less luck of the draw should the specific hit cause the player to be deleveled (and no way to determine that there aren't a ton of other players doing 100 stam hits while one player hits the jackpot with a 10 stam which just happened to be at the right time and caused enough XP loss to delevel)? while i understand the incentive, i've never grasped the "fairness" of this practice to bounty hunters. wouldn't it be helpful to have a way to generate top XP lost per bounty by individual hunters to determine who caused the most damage and reward accordingly? this may be a topic in pvp threads (which i rarely read) but any enlightenment would be appreciated.
That's a good point. In reality if you 100 stam somebody an take 200k xp you may or may not delevel. It all depends where they are in their progress to the next level. Either way its putting a crimp on their day and the lost the same xp whether the number by their name went down or not.
But people like to see that number go down (at least besides their enemy's name if not their own) and so that's the little pleasure they are paying for. I suspect we'll never see adverts like '1fsp for the biggest hit on Player X'... it will always be show me a screenshot of the delevel.
