hey there

i was wondering, if CH activates, does ti simply do twice damage, or does ti double your damage stat?

i mean i have armor 650, a creature has damage 600, if it hits me normally it does 1 damage, if CH activates will it do 2 damage, or 550 damage? (600 damagex 2 due to CH-650 armor)

have a suicide setup, what means you kill them in one hit. If you
miss they will kill you. SO you need buffs like Last Ditch, which
save you from dying (IMP sounds a bit too expensive for you  )
Also send your gold in the meanwhile to a friend so you don't lose
all your gold when you get beated by a creature.

other option is to go in defence setup, that way the creature won't
hit you, except for 2% of the cases. It won't matter that way what
damage he does. Mostly he miss, but when he hit you, you will die.
So also in this setup keep your gold save

The defensive setup is a bit slower than suicidal setup. I'm doing pretty good with my current df setup. Just get last ditch, wither, and a bunch of dmg+ buffs and your set. You may want to get conserve too, to save the stam from the 1-2 hitting.
