the stats of elite equipment aren't really very good so everyone wears legendary equipment. Some people can't get that equipment, so I say that elite items should have better stats.


I dont agree with this... in all honesty, the only reason the stuff is Legendary to begin with is becuase it is better than Elite, and SOME(only some) of the Super-Elite Items...

If the Elite Items were better, then the Legendary Items would in turn be for nothing...

We are creating this thread to request HCS to change the way the counter attack buff is cast.

Counter attack has become an essential buff in Fallen Sword. It is now used in every hunt by many players in tandem with other buffs to ensure they can one hit. However, the trouble is that different levels of the buff are required for different creatures. So it often happens that you need more than one level of CA during your stamina burn. The level of CA you need is also dependent on the level of doubler you use.

Also, the most popular level of CA - level 25 - can only be obtained by players who do not have a fury shrine.


Rather than having to hunt down different players with different levels of CA we would prefer that HCS make it possible for a player to cast different levels of CA on themselves.

This idea has been kicking around FallenSword almost since the time the buff was first introduced. Mags, Shadow0087 and RdShepherd have all started threads on the topic. This post is meant to build on that initial work.

Because of the nature of the counter attack skill, players are very often required to locate others with the specific level needed for hunting. There are many, many players who find this extremely annoying and burdensome. It is doubtful that HCS consciously intended this outcome when they introduced the CA buff into the game.

In addition to being annoying, trying to find the level of CA you need - especially level 25 CA - is very difficult and time-consuming.

As stated before, CA 25 can only be cast by those without a fury shrine, penalizing those guilds that have one.

It's illogical to punish guilds for spending large sums of gold on the creation and upkeep of their fury shrines. In fact, with the availability of (relatively) low level gear that includes the fury caster enhancement and because of the annoyance factor of hunting down CA 25, it seems possible that some guilds may destroy their shrines in order to be able to cast level 25 CA.

We believe that HCS would want to keep as many fury shrines in the game as possible considering how much gold the shrines take out of FS each day. As for implementation, we have a couple of suggestions:


1. Provide a box for us to manually select the level of CA we would like to cast from level zero to the maximum number of points invested in CA plus the fury caster enhancement, if any.

and/or:

2. Create an upgrade that allows a player to turn off their fury shrine before buffing CA or QF. This would at least put players in guilds with a fury shrine on an equal footing with those who don't have the shrine.

While i cannot Cast This Buff, i do agree with you on it... i hate hunting for a buffer with it... but i have found a few with a level 26 one... Names are forgotten to me at this point... but i do agree...

I believe that the only thing that could be changed is the movement loading blip. if theres a way to remove having to wait for the page to reload every time you move it might keep the (less motivated) into the game more because they can do more faster. This also allows the precise players to still take their 5 minutes per single stamina movement making a choice while letting the casual players go through 500 stamina in 45 minutes of whatever keeps them entertained. . .


what kind of computer are you using? Are you on dialup or something?


Hey, don't knock dialup. I played this game on dialup for the first 18 months, managed to make it to 200 and got my silver bounty hunter medal.

I would like to see us have the ability to stack multiple amounts of the same item in one backpack spot, similar to the way it is in Sigma Storm 2. For example if you had 5 Potions of Decay, all 5 of those Potions of Decay would be in one backpack spot. Or if you had 5 Blood Bloom Plants, all 5 of those Blood Bloom Plants would be in one backpack spot.


I suggested something like this on the guild level --- in suggestions, Storage Idea.

First a short one, let the guild founder (and only the guild founder) withdraw guild FSP. Our guild has a fair chunk of "guild locked" FSP with no upgrades that we want to spend it on. It would be helpful if the founder could use it to forge guild tagged items.

This has been a suggestion of its own before and got some god feedback.

Players can hire themselves as mercs, would be a bit different than regular mercs so maybe call them something else (hirelings?, "man" at arms?).

Put on gear. Go to hireling hall. Choose an amount of stamina and a price. A snapshot gets taken as with the arena and the stamina is immediate removed from your character (cannot be recovered even if nobody hires you). That snapshot is then available for other guilds (not your own) to hire (for 24 hours?). Once hired will join that guild's groups automatically as they get created using up 5 stamina per join until depleted.

The contribution to a group from a player hireling is less than a regular merc (5%? , 10%?), which would require it to be a different guild upgrade so as not to use up regular merc hire slots. So, new FSP source for HCS with the price of +1 max hireling scaled from the +1 merc upgrade in proportion to the reduced stat contribution to groups.

The guild pays say 10% on top of the player fee and that gets sunk as a fee to the hireling hall (new gold sink).

The recent additions of new mercs has helped to ease the shortage, but this would be another way to ensure that there is always sufficient supply to meet demand but since the group stat contribution is less it won't completely supplant the true mercs.

Gives another way for players to interact and maybe make some gold/fsp.

i have 2 seperate suggestions that would in my opinon help out players across the board,
the first suggestion is that i think there should be a buff available in the defense list at like lvl 75-150 for something like surprise attack or ambush, so that when a player attacks you they are not garunteed first strike, it would allow for a certain percentage of randomization in the combat order, and would require pvp sets to be more thought out and would reduce repeat attackers, especailly if the buff duration was similar to nightmare visage,

my second suggestion is that there should be a new structure introduced, something to the effect of banker, or something similar, where it increases your deposit percentage per level,say lvl 1 increase to 30% and level 2 increases to 35 and lvl 3 increases to 45% and this would be able to act as a gold sink because you could have the rates at say 15k for lvl one per hour and 25kper hr at lvl 2 and 35kpr hr at lvl 3 or something similar.


I kind of like these two ideas, especially the first. I'm a little dubious about the second as it seems to be another of those THINGS THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN

I would like to have 2 weapen in place of 1 weapen and 1 shield, that would be great tow weapens. :twisted:


get to lvl 415 and use the Doth blades. one replaces your shield

When I 1st joined, they had an application on the forum to fill out and went case by case about the mod, this would be the best way to determine them I would think

Doesnt matter to me, as long as we get some new more active ones to go along with the few active ones left.

it's been suggested before, but i'd love to see it happen.

Especially with counter attacl buff, that is interfearign with stamina loss, sometimes u only need level 25, other level 75.. depending a.the extra damage u need b.the doubler level u are using (level 500,750.. and so go on)

So, if u have allocated 150 points to that, u should be able to cast either all of that amount, or choose to buff with 25 50 75 or whatever u want.

of course, if u have allocated only 50 points on that skill, u cant buff with 165 level of that buff.
Perhaps, add an upgrade for that, so u can be able to do that..:)

There is an upgrade for that....Reset Single Skill...


Yes there is an upgrade and it is a good thing which Phool suggested and HCS accepted. Now Phool wants to be able to cast CA at any level < or = to what you have in the skill, allowing people with full fury shrine to cast CA25. I quite agree with that suggestion as well as the single skill reset one.

Do you really wonder? I don't - there are 2 reasons:

1) The easiest reason is that for lower level people without real world cash, FSP are exceedingly hard to obtain and there are so many things they want to get that require it.

2) Then there is the juvenile reaction to so many people posting time after time that people should stop asking for free FSP. I'd bet there are almost as many of those as there are of people actually asking for free fsp. Not quite but still.

This Idea put into play and then we could do Double PvP Rating events :)

can we have a timer on the FSBox? i want to know when i can log off from sellin buffs when my message in the FSBox runs out, and im sure some ppl feel the same way too
