I think back in the days the guild founder was able to deposite fsp in the bank and withdraw i know cause i have done it before but a lot of things has chnage since then an i dont think they will change it back so that players can withdraw fsp from a guild bank but it might be a upgrade that the guild will have to pay 100 fsp to get an only the real guild founder will be able to do that

that is a great structure idea! would love to see it!

it isn't in upgraded guilds that i am worried about withdrawing but in newer guilds who may be learning the ropes. too much room for potential mistakes that can ruin the game for players. but the ability to have a structure that would allow for forging/crafting guild items would be cool (although that could potentially hurt if the items are unlocked... but maybe there is a way around that).

I think there's always going to be risks involved when you have to trust someone with the ability to cripple a guild. The only thing you can do is make sure you fully trust everyone who has the priv's that could potentially cripple a guild. Actually it helps the guild grow when you all know you can trust each other, helps make you feel part of 'the team'.

The guild forge idea is fantastic - it allows "banked" FSP to be spent on guild tagged only items, but doesn't permit just outright theft. Somebody ought to bring that idea to the cows attention, maybe hoofmaster will add it to the wishlist? I'd say add it to the "official thread', but as somebody else so eloquently stated - thats a needle in a hoofstack.

This all falls apart when the argument is about theft or hacking.

So, we have a guild forge. And someone forges up 500 items and then untags them and sells them for profit. If the idea was to prevent theft we'd need to remove untagging as something that could be done too.

At some point we have to stop protecting ourselves from bogeymen. The fsp's are locked so that we can't get them out and if we want them for something else we need to buy more (profit not protection). There is no logical explanation for fsp being locked to the guild from a security point of view that doesn't logically require all things to be permanently locked to a guild.

This should be done but won't. And all those that argue about theft or security need to start lobbying to remove untagging and bank withdrawals. These are game breaking changes that won't happen. Removing untagging would be the equivalent of theft from thousands of players that have donated gear knowing they can get it back and sell it when then want. Or from guilds that have multiple low level LE sets they plan to untag and sell as they grow their members' levels.
