This is my first attempt and making a quest, so here goes:

Requirements:

Min. Level 2800
At least 1 Transdimentional Spell
To kill 25 of the following creatures:
Vamp Lord
Shadow Stealer
A new Creature
1 Item


Rewards:
2 Items
1 New Skill
XP

Location:
Bandit Pit (4,0)

Quest Start:

You walk up to a man, badly hurt. He says, in a coarse voice, "Can you spare a small health Potion?"

Action: Give him the Potion
Effect: "Thank you traveller, for your kind deeds. I will learn you a skill if you can do me three favors."

Action: Accept the first task
Effect: First, I want you to kill 25 Vamp Lords in any way possible.

Requires: 25 Vamp Lords Killed
Action: Accept the Second task
Effects:
1. "Not yet traveller, you haven't killed them all." or
2. Now go kill 25 Shadow Stealers. Return when you have done so."

Requires: 25 Shadow Stealers Killed In any Way
Action: Accept Final Task
Effects:
1. You have not killed 25 yet traveller, I'll let you know of your progress. Out of 25 you have killed #!" or
2. "No no! Get away!" He wasn't talking to you, but you see something in the distance. It looked like spirits. You decide to kill them.
Requires: 25 Spirit Guardians Killed using Melee or Transdimentional Magic
Action: Attempt to claim reward again
Effects:
1. "No, not yet, hurry!" or
2. "Everyone is safe. Thank you. Here, the skill I promised you!

Rewards:
500000 xp
1x Magnificent Mana Potion
1x Virus equipment of your choice. (Not a reward for Demonics)
Skill: Killing Landscape (Creature attack skill that acts like the creature skill "Assassin")

Restricted: Not usuable by Demonics

Virus Reflector Description:
Skills: Virus Block: Blocks all but Death's-Grip Viruses.

Death's-Grip Claw Description:
Attributes:
ATK: +300
DMG: +400
HP: +200
AP: +250
Skills:
Death Retreat: Blocks Death's-Grip Virus.
Restricted: Not usuable by Demonics

HP range: 15000-45000
Defense Range: 500-1000
AC Range: 800-1200

Attack type: Melee
Gold: 1200

Virus (New Virus, explained below drops)
Resistences:
Imune to non-transdimentional Magic
Drops:
Virus Curer (Potion) (Rare)
Virus Reflector (Ring) (Rare)
Death's-grip claw (Weapon)

Virus: Spirit:
Halves HP and MP

Quest Changes, Melee only attack on Thorn Spider (Sorcery, however, screws up the man's knowledge, making him think it was melee) and no more sacrificing on hp for skill. Spell now affects all classes the same way.

Quest Changes, Spirit Guardian now not immune to all magic, Virus equipment (Including Virus Curer) is not usuable by demonics, the virus curer recovers 10AP and Spirit Guardians HP range is lower.

Quest Changes, no more spell reward but a virus equipment of your choice (Unless you are demonic, then it's just the potion) and no more Thorn Spider killing.

you'd need sorcery to kill the thorn spiders, making it lean to mages, with a reward that takes away hp??

and the other reward is a magery spell?

i'm thinking you should actually try to play the game some, and learn the dynamics of play, before plotting quests...

decent quest, reward is screwy though....

reward is semi better... the weapon seems kinda small for that level restriction...

i like the virus cure potion for non infernals, as we are immune... as long as the drop is pretty rare, not good for other classes to be able to stockpile and match a class specific skill...

i still don't like magery rewards for quests after level 500... maybe 750

a thorn spider for someone at 3k would take alot of ap to kill, it requires a key to get into the realm, and the realm is level 2800 restricted, perhaps a smaller creature?

the new creature is high hp, and immune to magic? how would the mages kill it then?

keep trying, lets see what you can do?

WTH is this.

Demons have a Skill that makes us completely immune to all Virus (we can cure ourselves) and now through this POS Quest you wanna strip us of having that one upper hand over the other classes.

They spend 10AP or so and some GP to have a Cleric remove the viruses.

How about you play the game, POST WITH YOUR MAIN, and then you might gain some merit for having knowledge of the game.

If you played the game you would know there is NO WAY in HELL anyone at 2250 can complete this quest as to gain entry to the piyr lands you must be 2800 or something like that.

And this also seems similar to Simaars Quest to start out with a healing potion (Heal me and go kill goblins) Create your own idea like the rest of us have a not half fast an attempt.

Sorry if im blunt and rather harsh but i just dont care.

The Spell stays, but the drops are fixed as well.

that would be making the demonic ability of "Immunity" non specialized anymore and would screw them over yet again.

It would also mean that having the clerics to cure everyone else up for some gp and ap are also completely un necessary.


I kinda agree with Insatiable too, by the time people hit a certain lvl they usually dont use or care about the existance of magery related things anymore. lvl 2500, 2800+ is definitely past that usefulness state.

I found that I used magery when I just barely started since it could do more damage than my sorcery. but very quickly switched over and havent used magery again, if I can avoid it.

(but if I am hunting creatures where there are 10 in a square or something and they all have super low hp then from time to time I do find myself using chain lightening or something for boredom)

So if its going to be useful it needs to be made available at a much earlier level I think. OR if its something that you arent going to get till that high of a level it better be super special so that people would even bother with it.

Like he said, you need to get a key to even get into the realm, and as soon as you get into there, thorn spiders can take quite a few ap at least to kill. And I think the thorn spider extract is bound too isnt it? which means you couldnt even buy it from someone earlier on to be able to go and get it. (unless it wasnt one of the more recent bound items... so even then you would still have to depend on buying it from someone that could kill them decently)


It would be tough for mages to kill them if they had super high resists and mega hp. So a mage wouldnt really go through all that work for a semi ok spell. especially a magery one. Now.... if it could be made so that we are able to create blood sorcery spells through use of a certain scroll *as a reward* that teaches us blood magics ? Thats much cooler! but will probably never happen.

And I havent tried to hunt the spiders and stuff down with a warrior yet, but... my warrior couldnt care less about magery so he wouldnt have a reason to do it either. Thats something to keep in mind when considering how useful they would be as rewards.
It's getting better as you go through it and adapt it after peoples advice though. Thats a good sign

Fixed, now you don't need to worry about the Thorn Spiders. But I'm gonna make one more change first.

EDIT: the change has been made, it's more useful now.

Skill, I guess. And to quote again:

1 year and not get past level 9


The reason being was I made a mistake and started "The Rat Demon," getting weary of that, I decided to w8 for Holidays. After I got the Easter '07 Holiday (Cow-Print Easter Eggs) I managed to defeat them. that's why i'm only level 9 (From 1 mistake... oops) :oops:

and why are we hating on the demons here?



I seriously suggest you pay those few dollars a month, start playing the game and THEN come with suggestions (that hopefully will make sense)



...oh, and the story is quite bad too

Yeah...you bring out an item like THAT with those kinda stats and then block what is quite possibly the most common of all the classes from using it, and there's gonna be problems.

course i am, its fun to play both sides, and i wanted to see if he could form it into a reasonable quest thread...

i'm suprised that noone else's reacted on this one... that skills i WAY to powerful... i don't think you should have the chance to take down a greater trog in 1 hit as long as you can hit him... WAY to powerful skill...

imagine if we had this skill during the Dajsa and Zaahar invasions... finally we had invasions that were tough, even for high-level players... we had to cooperate to be able to kill them and their maximum HPs were INSANE!!! it took literary thousands of APs to kill one, but with this skill you could kill one in just a few APs if you're lucky...


i don't remember which Zaahar-creature it was but i spent 9 or so USPs to kill just ONE of them, so even if the chance for this skill to kick in was 0.1% it still wouldn't take 1 USP to kill it...



Aside from this, i also think that the "only usable for non-demons" is really bad... why shouldn't we be able to use it??



it's a good idea but it's still a bit rough...
