i vote no, if you say it, it should be left there to see by all, including the founder, people could get them self out of trouble by doing this, and guild founders dont want trouble

accountability needs to be taken into account. there are far too many things that i think will improve the game before this. if i, the queen of typos, write something in chat that no one understands, they just say "what are you on about this time?" it does the trick... also, while not user-friendly, one can still review their posts before sending or ammend by posting the correction in chat.
giving players the ability to write/delete chat comments could really lead to ugliness...
