39 tournaments up now... all moves.....in the last hour, 2 tournaments have been completed... probably looking at 2-3+ hours until an update... if ever there was proof this is needed, look at the arena now

I agree this is needed for gold sink, not for the moving of the arena, since people still gonna complain if the gold is seperated from the main arena. If you want the wins/items then join more tourneys get more people to join, ask your allies, guildmates and either pay for their entrance fee, or set them up with an arena set...Im sure many people havent maxed out their moves set yet, and if you help them, they might just get interested in the arena, and voila a new person to help move the tourney...

the idea of paying for others to fill the moves tournaments sucks big time,. if that seems nessecesairy it is obvious that there is a problem. The tournaments have 16 players if we constantly have to pay for a few people to join so they start it just means there are too little people intersted in th moves now,.. which is logical becuase there are moves all the time and those that don;t have the moves yet cna get them all pretty quickly and then not being able to join moves anymore

You would need a constant flow of new arena players, which is impossible to achieve

this ^

besides, i spent hundreds of fsp on my own items sets, im not just gonna guild tag them and pas them around, when the whole reason i paid for them in the first place so i dont have to deal with recalling them

Thats why i suggested that people get their guildmates involve...and you dont have to guild tag gear, just send them to your guildmate, and resave the sets when theyre done joining..

lol that's easier said then done with 30-40 different sets and 150+ items to search between to resave the sets,..

The idea of yours is just a way to go around the problem but it doesn't solve it.

Not really set your backpack setting to default and the 9 items would be the last 9 in your backpack meaning that you dont have to look for the items.

like i said set it back to default, not whatever setting you have on now. Then when the person send the items back, they will appear consecutively meaning that you dont have to find them.

then my backpack would be a severe mess. with all other guild items that coem and go out all the time,.. but anyway this discussion in not usefull at all. getting others to join moves doesn;t solve anything, I don;t get why you want that so badly and not just the split.

Trust BigGrim on this, he can do it properly.

If anything else just give us a multitude of cheap (crappy conserve and FL potion) tournaments for the low amounts of gold, if for nothing esle just to allow people to compete and actually get some wins, at this rate I would be 10 years to catch the person #1 in arena wins and that would only be if they stopped playing, Right now I get to enter 1-2 maybe 4-5 tournaments a day if I am lucky and I have several ranges that I can play.

Cheap Potion tourneys (at all different levels) along with gold (all amounts at different levels as well) and then you will see more movement in the tournaments.

I didnt say I didnt want the split, I said I wanted for the reason of gold sink not because some people cant get their friend and allies to join tourneys for them...either way people are still gonna need to get tourneys moving if the arena is split for gold sink purpose only...

The split will be Prizes and Moves. If the Admin inferface tweak for the arena works out correctly, I can balance the items vs Gold prizes myself.

Cheap Potion tourneys (at all different levels) along with gold (all amounts at different levels as well) and then you will see more movement in the tournaments.

I intend to add these too. Cheap and cheerful to allow people to tweak their sets.

I have come to this idea to speed up arena. It should look like this if split up. :

Actions
Interaction
- Send Message
- Find Player
- Online Players
Artisanship
- Blacksmith
- Crafting
- Hell Forge
- Inventing
- Scavenging
PvP
- Attack Player
- PvP Arena N#1 (Moves for Beginner)
- PvP Arena N#2 (Items, Gold, etc...)

- Bounty Board
Trade
- Auction House
- AH Quick Search
- Marketplace
- Send to Player
- Secure Trade
- Bank
Special
- Temple

i like it since ive never one a single arena tournament

Wait Why moves from Prizes? Isnt the whole point of the arena is to have a gold sink, what good could possible come from taking out the control factor and dropping the price of items...? Shouldnt splitting gold be better.......

dragon is right, Arena1: moves/items & Arena2: gold/potions/recipes would be better ...

nah put moves seperate, otherwise items will be partly controlable by the people by filling up move tournaments
Grim is capable of making sure that the arena is not flooded with items. trust him

thats alot of work just to control some items, why not let the moves be the control factor? This way, people will HAVE to get their friend and guildmate into the arena in order to move it, which promote teamwork. Also, If the split arena is gonna be mostly gold anyways why not just split gold from the rest?

I'm sure the new sets that BG comes out with as arena prizes would be very useful so it would be best that they are controlled by him so as not to allow the prices to dwindle.

Theyre suppose to be controlling the arena now, but Im not seeing anything that resemble limits, and this is with the moves there to slow it down. Imagine if the move is split, there will be a need to constantly monitor the AH and Arena to control the items. This will take up alot of time and they do have other aspects of the game they need to cover. With the moves there you only need to adjust it a few time a months to keep the price up as well as give the people their win. Also, splitting gold from the main arena would be a gold sink, and the moves/items can be mainly potion also.
