Having just been through morukan and experienced a truely brilliant integrated multi-level quest, and having also read bits and pieces of this in the past over previous threads... I thought I'd ask:

What do people feel about an "uber quest" that spanned an enormous amount of levels that included a bit of everything from all aspects of the game, but could only be started after reaching a high level?

HCS are always asking for gold sinks, and maybe this would be a good "diversion" for players as an alternative to xinderoth perhaps? Or maybe even only for level 600+ players?

I think it would be cool to revisit old maps... collect specific drops and maybe even solve riddles to progress (that change at random pointing different players down different paths of the same overall journey). Maybe you could incorporate some old gear in these new quests (maybe some champion monster drops), and have a storyline similar to that of the dwarves in morukan, but that works across the whole game?

I'd love to have a 60-70 quest "uber quest" that entailed inventing, SE hunting, solving riddles/puzzles and even possibly having to buy specific items at hundreds of thousands of gold to progress (or lots of FSP)... starting way back in krul island and spanning dozens of realms.

Any thoughts?

The reward for all the work could be several levels worth of XP or maybe even some unique BOUND items with epic level stats? I reckon something that would require huge amounts of invested stamina and money would be worth the time and effort to do, but I accept that it wouls also require massive amounts of work.

I only say this as an RPG fan... and sometimes FS seems to lack the continuity of a storyline (something that seems to be coming in the next HCS game, but is absent here).

God that was waffly... but there ya go ;)

Only trying to be constructive[/u]

Most people hat eXind over having to do those types quests. I would love a few areas of content in which you had two paths to choose (You could eventually do both paths quests if you wanted to as well.

Have to say the 3 stones quest in the Ethereal realm was a bit more interesting than just killing so many monsters or trotting round the same area to collect items. So yeah, a big quest would be good.
