Attack gives you a chance to hit your opponent, while defense gives you a chance to make your opponent miss.
Damage says how much hp you will take from your opponent, while armor counters your opponents damage.
what's the different between attack an damage, armor and def

To hit your opponent you must have MORE attack than their defence, when dark curse, constitution or flinch is involved you have to do a little math.
Damage is what it says, assuming your attack beats there defence this stat determines how much 'actual damage' you will cause. However if your damage stat is lower than their armor stat you will only ever cause 1 damage, if its greater than their armor, however much 'overkill' you have once you've beaten their armor is how much damage you will do to their hp
I hope that was clear? been drinking for a while..
