yet another thing that amazes me:

Ignite and Rage buffs.

As usual we start our analysis with the facts:

We read the skill descriptions:

Rage
10 / 140
+0.2% base attack per point.

Ignite
+0.1% per point chance that your opponent will be set on fire. Each successful hit thereafter will inflict between 5% and 10% extra damage.

Now we think.
All hunting guides ( except the überadvanced all level points to def strat) say 1-hitting is the key to fast progression and a prerequisite for 1-hitting is all level points in damage.

Very very few critter in this game cause problems as far as attack is concerned. There are also many buffs that strongly enhance your attack both in PvP and PvE. So having base points in attack and then boost then with Rage is quite meaningless for 99% of FS-players.

What does Ignite do?
It does not enhance chances of 1-hitting.
It does enhance chances of 2-hitting if your setup is so poor you are not even 2-hitting.
How much? well do the maths and it´s weak.

When might Ignite be useful?
For killing strong Elites, Champions , Superelites ( cause combat here is many rounds) and for PvP versus opponent in armor ( cause Ignite will help wear them down if your damage is lower than their armor).

disclaimer: I can see the easthetic points: the angry red guy and the flaming thing do look quite cool.

I see so many players hunting with the usual assortment of crap buffs and then no berserk potion, no Fury, no EW, no EA. Game is three years old people.

WHY! Because..that's why!

Life is a lot better if you remember there is no logic, there just is.

Great now lets think of how much people read guides.. i'd say 15%.
Now those who don't read (and even those who does - trust me i know alot of people who got attack in their base stats) obviously got attack in their base stats so there is a good reason to use rage...

and who said u are 1 hitting all lvls?

I rarely see people with these skills to be honest.

Did you know that there are likely over 2000 rouge black holes in our galaxy alone. Each of them can reach very high speeds, even in space terms, are each capable of destroying anything in their path, and are invisible. Well, goodnight!

some players just goes 2-hitting monsters because they don't have the time/fsp required by all 1-hitting strategies

Rage is a bad choice, and ignite is only useful if you are not doing 1 hit, even so there are better skills.

lol, such as?

And yes, it's the picture and the message in combat logs for Ignite.

Removing the ability to Bounty a PvP Ladder attack is something I've been thinking about. If enough people want it, I don't see why not. It might be a relatively easy tweak, unlike the rest of the suggestions.

rage.....yeah I'll admit....I don't find it useful...but it does have its use. you 10 points into it to get to fury, 10 points into fury goes to berserk, 10 points into berserk goes to Dark Curse (wow, long chain of things.

Ignite. I would only use this in PVP. those pure armor sets can be quite a pain. The skill does look awesome though :) thats a good thing.

And remember, they are worse skills than these two mentioned. Rage is only useful if you got loads of points into attack, but what bout Great Vigor? Base stats increasing buffs can be useful or useless...just really depends on how you spent your base level up points
