If you don't understand something, it's usually a good idea to ask questions before you just make assumptions.

Quoted directly from the join tournament page: "Confirm your stats are acceptable before committing to join this tournament. Note that only items equal to or below the max equip level for the tournament will be included in your stats. (Note also you can change your equipment after entry is made)."

Just because a level 400 has level 400 equipment on when you see them, does not mean that they had that equipment on when they joined. If they did, none of it counted. You put on your tournament gear, join, and then you can change to your regular gear once you have joined.

Everyone starts out with 1 point in Attack, Armor, Defense and Damage, and 10 in HP. After that, stats are based solely on the equipment that is at or below the level of the tournament.

The reason you are getting beat is because: A) They have better equipment, and B) They know what they're doing.

You might want to read the Arena guide one more time..

To keep the playing field level, the level the tournament is at (Listed as 'Max Equip Level') determines the maximum item level allowed to be used. Any items over this level will be ignored, level up points, relics, buffs and guild structures are also ignored in the arena.

Q: Isn't it unfair that high level players can join low level tournaments?
A: Due to the way the equip level works for tournaments, even if a high level joins, they will only have access to the same setups as a player at the max equip level, making it completely fair. (Remember the base stats, eg level up points, don't count!)

answer is no. please read very long quote below

And here are your arena quotes

Of course someone like GMC thinks it's fair. Wearing 9 items, all FFed, all legendary, and none above L25. Since he's L198, he has no use for them beyond the arena, but as a result he can win a higher proportion of the L25 tournies. Basically, it's a 200 fsp entry fee.

Think of the arena like a car race. Sure, you can enter with any old vehicle, but you ain't gonna stand a chance against those sitting at the wheel of a formula 1 racing car

why would you enter a race with an old vehicle if people are allowed to and do use formula 1 cars? You should go get yourself a formula 1 car like everyone else. Confused

FFed, legendary items below the item level restriction aren't my birthright or anything. I went out and bought them just like everyone else. You can also go get them if you want to.

oh, and I hardly ever win. I bet I have entered 300 tournaments so far, and I've won, what? 12. Everyone is out there winning. go try harder and don't expect wins to be handed to you.

Everyone enters the arena with the exact same stats 1, 1, 1, 1, 10

The only equipment that is counted when you enter is equipment which is the level of the tournament or below

When you enter the tournament a "snapshot" is taken of your equipment so the stats are saved and can NOT be changed.

PVP FAQ wrote:
Once you enter the tournament a snapshot of your equipment will be taken and your list of "combat moves". Hence you will not be able to change your arena stats or moves after it has been entered.

People frequently use one set for hunting and something different for pvp. This isn't any different for a level 15 player or a level 400 player. You need different stats to be successful in different areas of the game. So it really isn't that hard to figure out why people are changing their gear all the time.

Also if someone figures out a really good set for pvp, they don't want to give others the edge so they change them as fast as possible. This is called STRATEGY. it isn't taking advantage of anything. It is fair.

Now, I am really tired of seeing these threads. The system is well thought out and very fair.

Just because you aren't any good at it doesn't make it a bug

And is it really surprising that someone that has been playing and doing pvp of over a year knows how to come up with winning combinations better then you? I think not

So grow up, get on the fallenswordguide.com and work out what the best winning set is for the level you are competing in and stop whining.

here are your official quotes on the subject.

Please don't reopen other threads on this because I am not going to comment on them, they will just be locked.

There's a wide variety of equip level tournaments always running and with the combination of that and the combat moves, I really feel it is fair to all.

Sure you won't win them all, but be patience - try different item/move combinations and see what works for you.

Also as we add more and more moves, there should be more and more strategies to use to your advantage - we've much more to add to this Wink

I just joined a level 25 tournament and all was going great, I was pwning other level 25's in one hit while 0only taking 1 damage in each fight, until I got in a fight with a level 341, I know he can only use level 25 armor but still, shouldn’t there be a level limit, im sure noone else here is complaining about this problem but I think it should be addressed.

Their level is irrelevant though - they get the same choice of equipment as you and their level up points don't contribute what so ever.

We've no plans to add level restrictions as the 'max equip level' works just fine for this. If you don't understand how it works, read the guide on the Arena page Smile

How its possible than in tournament to lvl 150 (I have 150lvl, baron set + mancrusha + decay rune), I loose with player with lvl 300+ and he had on him equipment from lvl 300+, I loose with hit 80+ dmg and loose all life? he didn’t have any extra hits bonus.

No, they would have changed into lvl 150 equipment, entered, then switch back to their standard gear. The stats they obtained would be from level 150 equipment and under.

The level of the character entering is not relevant
