Give the 1st trhu 5th finishers all the same items. That would get some competition going and bring down the outrageous prices at the same time.
I know you are a smart person Bleltch so I assume you know the answer to this question but......
Why in the world would HCS want the prices of titan items to go down?
The higher the FSP cost for these items the more real money they will make. They are a business first and foremost and titans are a huge income boom for them. The introduction of titan items is brilliant and doing anything to change the cost of them to go down would be like shooting themselves in the foot.

Not entirely true, at a given point in time no one will want to buy a titan item anymore due to the price being to high (players wanting to pay that much fsp for the item will at a given point in time have their titan items). Meaning the price of the titanitems will have to drop someday.
Sometimes it might even be better to add an extra item out there for instance it's possible that more titan items would be sold for lesser cost.
Question only is at what fspprice for a titan item does HCS make the most profit.
Selling 1 item a week at 2k fsp
Selling 2 item's a week at 1k = same profit
selling 3 item's a week at 750 fsp = biggest profit

Dont worry, i'm pretty sure your cash cow is safe for now. But i still think it's a good idea letting more guilds/players have a piece of the pie.Give the 1st trhu 5th finishers all the same items. That would get some competition going and bring down the outrageous prices at the same time.

Not always true Prezze......I know through offerpals it would be much easier for me to achieve half to more in free FSP on a 750 sale, not true on the others. I 'd be donating more of my real money.

It's important (for business) to keep powerlevelers interested in Titan hunting... if the prices drop below stamina cost no more sinking FSPs...

quite true but that point is a long way from 2500-10000 fsp per item IMO

If these numbers games are going to played then maybe the top ranked guilds should be changed too. Its not "fair" that guilds with 124 members gain more xp than a small guild. Maybe it should be guild xp divided by number of players to create an average xp that way no one has an advantage. But wait, high level players gain more xp than low, so contributed xp should also be determined by the level of the player and calculated so no one has an advantage. This logic goes on forever until everyone is "equal" and everyone will be the number 1 player and be in the number 1 guild because we wouldn't want competition would we?
Man, did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, lol.

1) instead of maximum participation have it as a maximum number of a guild in a realm, ie you can only have 5 guild members in the realm at any one time, thus you are able to swap guild members (this would allow those with less time to participate a chance to do so
2) i quite like this idea, but it becomes abusable as soon as a high level player competes against a lower leveled player, better maybe is a limit on the number of attacks a guild can make, then every guild who gets the most kills gain either a drop, titan rp or a percentage chance to get the drop, (only one titan item per hunt). that way a titan with a max attacks of 500 may have many guilds competing. to make speed still important, have both of these, keep titan hp, add a timer which causes the titan to vanish 30 mins after the first guild has the max number of kills. of course there is a chance no guild kill on every attack and then the titan leaves once its hp is depleated.
3) not sure about this, could be good could be bad...
4) yes this is fine
5) I don't apreciate the way it is
extras:
6) after each kill you make it becomes harder to kill. this would be difficult to balance (becuase of guild sizes) but would make an interesting challenge for individuals. After a kill the next titan you encounter will be harder to kill.
7) sudden death; if a titan kills you then you are no longer able to kill that titan anymore.
finally my favourite and most interesting idea;
8) pvp timeout. the realm becomes a pvp no bounty zone. you can attack oposing guild members, upon sucessfully killing them they cannot kill a titan for a period of time (5mins should be about right). this would really spice up titan hunting
something does need to change though
