I would rather CA be available in different levels of inventable potions.

That could do well, I think as someone has to farm plants for them which makes them burn stam. Also, if you include trinettle or other "store-bought" plants, it helps sink a little gold this way.

Potions would work too. However they might render the skill useless.

SO many potions have already made certain skills useless. I say an inventable potion would be better mostly because, right now inventing stinks. It was great early on in its heyday (And would still be but HCS introduced scavenging and placed a higher up doubler) which really hurt the inventing market overall.

This.

However, if the ability to throttle must be in the game, then I would say give it a cost of 1 stam + (100 gold X level of player) per point you want to take off of the skill.

you need ca25...ca50 or wither350...I don't see any use
of throttling it or whatever...just buy it or soemthing...that
is cheaper for sure

I don't use CA anymore.

That was helpful. :)

This has been done over and over. The best way to fix CA for HCS is to make the buff on a slider for the buffer. If you have 150 points in it you can go from 175 down to 26 depending upon fury structure. Per individual buff.

This is why CA is such a neat buff. The varying levels needed requires SOME work to acquire.

God forbid people have to actually work for something in the game nowadays...

I think it's best left alone. There's always the option of destroying the fury shrine and then customizing sets of FC gear to get the desired levels.

So, then by this formula if a level 200 player wanted to change a CA by 25 points, it would cost 25 stamina (which is a nice suggestion) and 500k gold. That is so ridiculously expensive (on the gold side) that it completely invalidates the reason for having the ability.

They've also been asking for free fallensword points and to get rid of the stamina system.

It SHOULD be expensive, since you're essentially getting 2 or more skills for the skill points you require for 1. Maybe 100 gold per level is too extreme, but not by much.

I'm not suggesting that it shouldn't be expensive, but 500k is WAY more than your typical above average leveler makes in a single hunt. Which would make this ability totally pointless, as no one would ever use it. One would make more gold by just hitting that creature with a CA100 that you only need a 25 for, than it would be to utilize this ability. If you against it I get it your against it, but don't make the cost so high that it would never be used.

It SHOULD be expensive, since you're essentially getting 2 or more skills for the skill points you require for 1. Maybe 100 gold per level is too extreme, but not by much.

The gold difference over an 1800 stam hunt (about what it takes to get through a level 1-hitting where I am) between using CA100 and CA75 would be around 15k. So any cost over that would prevent it from ever being used.

if you can get a different CA for like 50k or 1 fsp, then the cost to throttle shouldn't be more than that???
