I'm sure our guild isn't alone in having this problem, where some of our less experienced members fail to repair the guild locked gear, before returning it to the guild store... causes quite a bit of frustration... especially to those of us... like myself... who donate a lot of gear, as they grow out of it.

In our guild, EVERY RANKING MEMBER can recall items, this is very useful in some regards, but it has caused this flaw to come to light on a few occasions.

This would make it easier for us, and other guilds like us, to make sure that these new members aren't just using the gear to level up.

I know it is possible to scour the guild logs for who had it in their possession last, but the problem with this is what happened to me recently... I recalled a damaged item to the guild storage, then the person who had it told me that they were just storing it, and hadn't used it, which is why they hadn't repaired it... which stands to reason, because the equipment was higher than their virtual level... didn't know who to track it back to. Very frustrating.

So I'm proposing that under "Guild Locked: [insert guild name here]"

is a "Last worn by: [insert player name here]"

in the event that it is being worn by a player, it should say the name of the player wearing it.

One argument I foresee is people saying what about gear that is recalled from a player while he is using it, and hasn't repaired it yet... well common sense needs to apply here, if you recalled a BLUE item in the guild report, then you should know that you took on the responsibility of repairing that equipment.

Perhaps an FSP sink?

There are alot more pressing issues at the moment and is repairing equipment at the start really going to make that much of a dent in your gold?

It is rather inconsiderate of a member to use items and not repair them. Even more annoying to those used as mules who end up with several pieces of gear not repaired and don't realise it, so it takes more out of their gold when they hit R while hunting. Identifying who is responsible would help, especially if those people do not contribute to the guild upkeep anyway.

Well... I voted "probably"... I wouldn't consider this very urgent.

I think if you educate your members better (geez, do they really lack such common sense?) this would best solve the issue.

In my experience, this generally tends to happen because people are in a hurry... and occasionally on Recalls due to someone being Inactive.

Everyone knows the rules in the guild... and every time we find someone fail to repair, we end up kicking them out... the problem seems to be greedy moochers who just want to use our gear to level, but who have no feelings of belonging to a guild... they're really solo players who realize that they get more out of being in a guild cuz of the extra buffs and relics that guilds can possess, and which well run guilds are going to definitely have. They hop from guild to guild... or rather are kicked from guild to guild... and just take advantage of what ever is immediately available to make their experience "easier"

Perhaps a ruling that makes it impossible to trade gear out of inventory which is damaged?

but wait... crystalline gear... nope that wouldn't work...

so the only option in my mind is to have that tag which states who wore the gear last. It solves a lot of problems.

edit: Nice to know that people don't mind admitting the fact that they don't believe in being constructive.

When guilds are trying to continue to maintain all the structures they have, especially when you are a "Middle Class" guild, it becomes difficult to pay for all of that, plus repair everyone's equipment.

Think about it this way. Active members hunt and receive gold. They then donate as much as they can to the guild, but that is always only so much...

and every guild with decent middle classers in it (people usually from 80-299 lvl) usually has plenty of members who remember the struggle it takes to break into the levels where one can actually enjoy the game (80-600 after which... I hear there isn't much to do except finishing missed quests and PVP). This is why they allow low level guys in. Problem is, low lvls don't make much gold to keep the guild going... so guys with a larger stockpile... whether its from selling FSP or whatever... these people run into the issue that they are already footing the bill to keep the infrastructure above, not only their heads, but also that of the low level guys they are supporting.

Now add the idea of keeping fully forged perfect equipment that these guys can use to expedite their journey through the low levels as fast as possible, these guys are fully capable of repairing this equipment most of the time, and guys like me don't mind paying 100gold to fix a piece they can't afford to fix as long as they openly state that they can't afford it. It happens on occasion and is no big deal.

Then you've got the guys who are lvl 70-190 who don't repair their equipment... these guys are just lazy and or greedy, and they get kicked, but not before they've made a hit on the guild's money pool in a large way. Over time this adds up.
