Holy Flame seems overpowered versus undead, making undead critters mostly laughable. I am speculating of course but it looks like HCS reached that conclusion too and essentially stopped designing undead creatures. Perhaps they didn't or perhaps they stopped only because it was too much trouble to do otherwise but IMO recent design changes have made this a soluble problem.

First of all keep the buff name but make it a blessing (priest/monk/shaman etc) that works against a variety of creatures, say greenskins, undead, demons, and maybe a half dozen more. But make it work like CA does now i.e a player would adjust personal preferences for the creature type and could never have more than one HF buff on at a time.

Second, make the buff less powerful - probably .1 but maybe .05 per point rather than .2 (I'll gladly leave the balancing task to HCS). It would still be useful and certainly would be used by hunters but not be quite so powerful.

Third, the change that allows a single skill reset means you could give a single skill reset to players when you institute the change to HF, presumably for people to either move into or out of HF :)

HF is overpowered, yes. But for good reason, the number of these levels wanes they higher you go. There are 1 or 2 around 619, and then one at 737, and then 777. And then 5 or so between 790 and 800. Instead of changing a game mechanic to having, say, a Holy buff like you suggested, I think the current way suffices. HF is a circumstantial buff for certain levels. So is something like VIS. But in general, I think the point of HF *was* to make undead levels laughable, providing some easy levels when the game wasn't as cut and dry about 1-hitting as it is now. It's an old buff (I assume), but it's certainly working as it was originally designed (sans extra easiness).

A lot of Undead creatures have like double the health that other creatures have at that level, so it doesn't necessarily make it much easier...

I kinda like it how it is now. Once every 50-100 levels you get a couple of critters that are 100% 1-hittable. If you had it working on a variety of creature types, even if you decreased its power it would make quite a few levels too easy. Leave it as it is.
