I'm sure most of you have experienced one or more of the following occurences:

1. Your about to reach max. stamina, and looking for buffs, but you simply can't find anyone online with one or more specific buffs you need.

2. You're getting ready to hunt, and looking for the buffs you need, but the game is laggy and takes several seconds loading every page, so by the time you finally have all the buffs needed, some of them are already about to wear off.

3. All of your friends/guild mates are offline, and you can't afford those crazy prices everyone is taking for their buffs so your stuck, not being able to hunt or whatever your going to do.

There are plenty of examples, just listed three very common problems when looking for/getting buffed for something.

My suggestion is to improve the overall skill/buff system.

Request Skills Function
My first part of it, is to add a new function to the player profiles where you can see a complete list of the specific players skills, and from there request them just like you can buff others with the Quick Buff page.

Also, there should be a preference for this aswell, so players can turn this off, so others can't request buffs from them and neither can they see which skills they have.

Skill Queue
This is all about skills not activating on you right away when cast on you by another player.
I'd like to see it so that when another player casts a skill on you, you'll have to accept it before it activates on you, and the casters stamina is not consumed either, before the skill has been accepted by you.

And skills cast on you, should stay in the queue for 12 hours before it expires.

This would be good in the following case:

You ask a guild mate for the hunting skill you'll need in the morning when you wake up, and go to sleep.
The Guild Mate buffs you, but after a 6 hours later he goes to sleep aswell. (Different TimeZone)
You wake up and the skills from your Guild Mate is still in your Skill Queue, with 6 hours left till expiration.

And besides that, this especially solves occurence number two at the top, as you could then look for every buff you need, and when you got them all in your queue you can just accept them all together at the same time and got no worries about skills wearing off before your even ready to hunt.

I'm sure some of you have tried getting buffed with unwanted skills such as Counter Attack, when you don't need it.
I've tried it a couple of times without even asking for it, sometimes even from random people i don't even know, and the annoying part, is that usually you don't find out before it's too late.

This Skill Queue feature also allows for my next part.

Skill Cost
This one quite reveals itself just from it's title.
It's about adding a new input field to the Quick Buff page where you can define the price you wan't for the selected skills.

This solves the problem with people scamming others, by not paying for the skills they request.
And in reverse order, people paying first, and then not getting their requested skills from the seller.

Becuase this would go along with the Skill Queue system, as if the seller defines a price on the Quick Buff page, the gold/FSP would automatically be transfered from the buyer to the seller.

Skill Request Board
And now for my last part, again, the title pretty much reveals it.

It's about having a board where people can request specific skills, that way skill sellers can quickly find others needing the skills they have.

Including some preferences.
- Min. Skill Level
- Max. Skill Level
- Max. Price in Gold or FSP
- Extended?
- Min. Sustain %

This was all my suggestions, i hope you enjoy and comment, thanks! :)

The FSH currently has a bio rendering function to this effect but having it coded directly into the game would be helpful for those who don't use FF or the FSH.

This would interfere with certain pvp tactics and make it impossible for you to buff your mates who are offline and find themselves on the BB.

A much less complicated way to ensure you will have the buffs you need is to form partnerships with people in your time zone; either a business arrangement (lifetime buffers) or an agreement among friends. Alternately, make a list of the buffers in your time zone who have what you need...it doesn't take long to identify the reliable sellers who have a consistent schedule.

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at here. Certainly unwanted buffs are a bit of nuisance but they're hardly more than that.... except in certain applications. We've all been spam buffed out of the blue, we're alerted when it happens so we can remove them if its an issue. If someone wants to waste their stam buffing when I don't ask for it - keep in mind the buffer doesn't see it as a waste - that's their prerogative. Ignore it, thank them.. whatever want to do, then remove what you don't want.

This I would like to see... minus the queue. An automatic transaction similar to ST will ensure everyone gets what they're entitled to and we'll be subjected to considerably less whining and accusations of theft in the FSB.

You mean a buff market place. That's actually a really good idea. I rarely buy buffs (only when I'm hunting off my usual time) so its a bit of a pain when I need to find a seller in a hurry since I'm not familiar with who's who except in my usual TZ. But, having said that, there is a handy resource provided by Fallen Empire for just such an occasion.

I am aware of that, and i use FSH myself, but implementing it in the game itself would save people alot of space in their bio's for other things.
Besides that, people use different abbreviations, for the same skills, i.e.
Berserk goes under the abbr. Ber, ZK, Bers etc.
And some skills abbreviations are very familiar such as Con (Conserve) and Cons (Constitution) but some people also use Con if it's actually Constitution they have, and not Conserve.
So implementing this would avoid confusions and save bio space.

I see the trouble here, but could be solved with a preference to turn off the Skill Queue, so if people wish to recieve buffs directly instead, while being offline they can just turn it off before logging off.

And you make it sound so easy to find the buffs you need, but personally i have problems finding the buffs i need, every single time i have to hunt.

Some people are way too expensive, usually i manage to find someone i can afford to pay, but by then some of my other buffs are already about to wear off, it's really a hassle sometimes.

When i hunt i don't always check my log even though it's stating that i got new activity in it, over below the menu, and i've experienced several times, getting buffed with unwanted buffs such as Counter Attack, even though i don't need it and making me use more stamina, and it's alot of wasted stamina for me as i always use DB500 or DB750 when i hunt.

And now some may think, well then it's your own fault?
- Not really, becuase FS is so laggy nowadays, and it doesn't help with me living on a Boarding School with 300 students downloading even though it's against the rules here, on a shared 8Mbit/512Kbit connection. So it takes me 10-20 seconds everytime i have to reload a page in FS.

I've also experienced getting buffed with Doubler, without asking for it, when doing things where you do not wish to use more than 1 stam per action such as farming or doing quests.

Well yeah you could call it a marketplace too, but i think alot of people would misunderstand the concept of it then.

I don't like that this is being compared with Fallen Empire's, Find Buffers Tool becuase such place like a Buff Marketplace, well it's not gonna happen here in FS, and i believe HCS have already stated that.

Also, this is a completely different concept, as Fallen Empire's, Find Buffers Tool is a place you go to find the buffers with the buffs you are looking for, but my concept is to let the buffers find you instead, by requesting the buffs you need, on a board.

Short and simple:
Don't look for the buffers, let the buffers find you!

I didn't say it was easy, only less complicated than what you're proposing, and I have been in your position many times so I understand the frustration. Network, this is a social game that encourages cooperative efforts, once we've made the connections we need it does tend to make game play a bit easier and a great deal more fun.

Unfortunate but its something we all deal with from time to time. Iggy all while you're hunting takes care of it.

No, simply because its very easy to find cheap buffs among the thousands of players online at any given time..the less you want to pay the harder it gets of course...

And frankly, if you have to start hunting because your stamina will max out, start killing creatures without buffs and earn another hour..

It has repeatedly been pointed out by HCS that we cant have indirect stamina usage(i.e. bufing whil offline or pre-ordering)
