Can someone address this? Last night I discovered that you can become the participant of a GvG even if you attempt to attack someone outside your level range in a target guild. Since the attack defaults to the "You must attack someone in your level range" I thought it would not consider me a participant... imagine my surprise when the guild logs clearly demonstrated that I had indeed become a participant by attacking an invalid target. I understand that if I fail to successfulyl defeat someone it's one thing, but if I can't legally hit the target, how exactly can I be considered participating? The logic for when a player is considered a participant needs to be moved to the actual start of the fight, not the attempted attack methinks.

small Q but you are taking into account that the lvl range goes from 5 lvls above and bellow to 25 lvls above and below in a GvG?

No, he's right. All someone has to do is press the attack player option and they're locked in as a participant, no matter if they can 'actually' hit them or now.

Clarification: What I mean specifically, is you need to get to the attack screen where you select how much stam and the "attack" button. As soon as you press it, like you're going to finalize an attack, you're a participant.

I believe you guys figured what I meant, but just in case.

i like it. we use it so you can join the conflict when you don't want to do it yet. thus insuring your spot.
