I say give them 9. For two real reasons.

1. It allows them to carry two full sets
2. It is nearly impossible for a player under 150 to earn enough FSP (mainly due to the ever increasing market prices) to get more slots unless using real money

So giving them 9 might help new playes stick around.

Using the argument that players started with 3 so therefore so should everyone else is wrong. People could buy FSP's for 10k gold back in the day and now they are 16 times that and lower level players are still only earning the same amount of gold.

Well lets give them some more stamina also and stamina gain and any other upgrade that can help them. I mean it is so hard to get fsp now so we need to give the players more at the start of their game.

What do you have against new players sticking around? I know when i started playing one of my biggest things was BP space, and honestly if you think players can afford them without reall money then you are kidding yourself.

Stam gain and other upgrades you upgrades you mentioned (although sarcastically) is babying new players whereas i feel a few more BP slots would allow them to work on different setups and allow smarter setups because there are numerous options at lower levels especially. Also it would stop people having to us the AH and mailbox as temporary spaces because that is not what they were designed for.

Although I don't know why I'm bothering giving any reasons at all when it seems all I need is a sarcastic remark.

I started with 3 too, never had any issues, even during LE events when BP size is very important..

Ya know, even though we did all start out with 3, we had our own gear (no guild tagging and therefore no sharing when a lot of us started), so we wore it all the time. We had no "offline" set, because our gear was our "all the time" set. With guild tagging and sharing, many guilds require players to have something of their own to wear when not hunting, so that the guild gear can be used by others.

On the other hand, players don't NEED to wear fully forged legendary sets in order to hunt when they first start. One can manage for quite a while just fine on ordinary drops, which means they don't need the space to store their offline stuff while wearing guild stuff. By the time they "need" to wear the guild's stuff in order to be efficient, they should have been able to start upgrading themselves and have more storage space.

Ahhhh I'm arguing with myself. >.<

I agree there but to get self sufficient now takes a LOT longer, around Baron is where BP space becam a big issue for me and I was only getting 2 FSP profit a week. Even now using UB190, EW1k and DB750 and 100k worth of buffs my total profit from using 4500 stam was 1.5 FSP

I have nothing against people who stick around unless they want everything handed top them on a silver platter. Thats all this is suggesting to me. If we give them more BP slots then eventually its going to go further than that and then where does it stop? When every single player is exactly the same to make the game fair? Nothing is fair in life, thats just how it is. If you dont agree with me I couldnt care less cause Ive not got a clue who you are. Therefore your opinion of me means nothing to me.

Oh and sarcasm is the way of the future.

In case you haven't noticed I'm not a new player asking for handouts, I'm agreeing with ONE suggestion that I think would help players stick around because if you look at the players online you would realise people are leaving this game in larger and larger numbers.

If you wanna make remarks about what you think of me (or what you think i think of you) do it via PM instead of consistantly going of topic. kkthxbai

As a fairly new player, I would like to see a bit more BP space to start off, for the reasons given already ITT. I disagree that any concession made will automatically lead to a slippery slope of making everyone equal. Adjustment of defaults is part of iterative game tweaking. If new players are not sticking around, the question needs to be asked WHY? I stuck around, but I'm stubborn. :P The tiny BP default was definitely annoying to me, more than just about anything else with the exception of the shocking FSP cost of enhancing my character.

3 is fine, if you need or want more then buy them like everyone else has. I managed with 3 when I started out and so did everyone else.

+1

+1,000,000,000,000

I have 18 slots now. I started out with 3, not that hard.
