First off I want to say that GvG is not the same as PVP.

Now, why the heck are we even allowed to hit Inactive members during GvG in the first place!
GvG is an attack on the entire Guild, even though most of the time its a One on One conflict. The ability to hit inactive members should be removed.

As you just said, GVG is an attack on the entire guild, which includes the inactives, imo...

Thats just silly. Not much of a 'conflict' if the only, so called 'member. is dead or just lying there now its it. - Thats like telling me that your going to kick my famuly's butt, then come over and slap my little sisters Gold Fish around, LOL
He's part of the Family so...

Anyways, I got a laugh out of it so no biggy.

GvG is suppose to be a team activity. Guilds that decide to keep inactives, for whatever the reason chose to give themselves a weakness.

As far as honoring your lost members. That is one of the purposes of your guild history. Boot your inactives, if they play again it is easily enough to add them again. If you want to keep them, expect them to be targeted.

I guess with many of your views, Fran Tarkenton should not be hit if he was still playing American football for Minnesota.

Maybe a new inventable potion that allows a chance to repair items worn by another player [one-shot use like the Potion of Repair].

I don't like the idea of other players forcing gear onto others.

This topic is a lot like when people were talking about crystaline repair kits, if we had crystaline repair kits, what would be the point of them being crystaline? If you want a guild to do better at GvG you'll have to boot players who go inactive, you can easily honor them in your Guild bio, I'm sure no one is using all the characters that their Guild bio offers. It's really just a choice, between keeping members in case they ever return again, or booting them and letting new members in and also making your guild a bit tougher of a target in GvG, it's really a lot like gambling, every move you make has a risk.

With GvG becoming more popular; I think that creating means (maybe through guild "report" feature) to dress inactive players in guild, or repair their gear would be a great addition to game. I for one am tired of having to let go of my good friends, and loyal members because they are supplying easy target for opposing GvG guilds. Is this possible, and I'd love to hear feedback from others as well. Thanks

This is just my opinion.
I total disagree with this.
They are inactive therefore shouldn't have to be concerned about.
Focus on the active members of your guild because those are the ones that will help the guild grow.

If you are concerned about GvG, then kick them out.

True, however, as you said, your little sister's goldfish is still a part of the family, just as inactives are still a part of the guild :P

Thanks to all for your input & comments. I really liked a few ideas that stemmed from my own, but understand now to compete in GvG - that sacrifices need to be made. And so I will.
