Titans, not really discussed as the thread has been derailed due to lack of mods. Care to fill me in on how it is a bad idea to still make skill matter, yet make latency to server matter less? Experience would still help players win as it has been the case, but players with lightning fast connection would not have an as significant advantage as it would allow players to get on the square and maybe get a kill instead of having all titans wiped out. It would also slightly prevent abuse of the system.
Kinda confused on how you think this will level the playing field... As it has been before mentioned many times, all you are doing is handicapping one group of players, allowing the other group to still remain slow hunters.. It would be rewarding slow players for being slow :?: :? :?: Until they can figure out a way to increase the capability for the slower group while not hindering the faster ones, all you are really doing is asking for the faster hunters to be slowed down. To me, that doesn't seem to be a "fair" playing field either, now does it? :? It's like telling a professional football player (the real one's lol) that he can't hit a college athlete as hard as he can cause he may hurt him.. Or a 7' tall basketball player he can't dunk, because all the short players can't. As for the abuse of the system, would you mind elaborating on what it was you were implying :?:
You say 'player' a lot, hence underlining how vital having fast players is compared to having many decent hunters. But you never ever mention 'guild'. I think this further underlines the problem with the current setup, it's not all that 'guild' oriented as much as 'browser techniques' (not necessarily cheating) and 'connection speed'.
Sorry just my mistake, my "Guild" hunts whatever titan they can reach.. no matter their ping, connection speed, or browser preferences.. One of my players hunted the fuva the other night with his ping at 150 -180 ms and still got 240 kills even after coming in after it was 3/4 done.. Granted ping, connection speed, hardware, and location all make a difference, but it also relies on technique, knowing your maps, and deciding which hunters you really want to try and battle.. Lord knows there are several that I try and shy away from.. All of this takes practice and research.. Its a lot more then just putting on a suit, and flying across the map as some would say..
P.S. Forgot to mention it was his first titan hunt ever! Way to Go Bro!
