I had this idea a while ago:
I think it deals with most of the problems a reward could have, and its the least expoitable.. Have a look. When i originaly posted it, it didnt get any attention tho.
What i like about the prestige system:
* I like the idea of giving a reward for doing pvp, if more people get drawn to pvp, more gold and stamina is being sunk.
What i dont like about the prestige system:
* It is based on the pvp-rating system witch is allready broken.
* Its another rating/points system, instead of using the pvp-rating for it.
* Its very easy to abuse, if 2 players same level hit eachother while recharging they can get there prestige too easy.
My idea:
* Fix the pvp rating system, by making a 10stam hit unable to be bountied. This can better show who is good at pvp.
* Then use the pvp rating as a base for the rewards
* Make it a ladder, like the rating is a ladder: with pvp-rating of 1200 you can choose between AL100 or BERS100 buffs, with rating of 1500 you can choose X or Z buff, with rating 2000 you can choose between for instance Nightmare Visage or high lvl doubler ... with the buffs increasing in level, any buffs can be in the ladder.
* Buffs including should be both levelling buffs and combat buffs, levellers have to get reward for doing pvp, but true pvp-ers dont really need the adept learner skill. Why should they be left in the cold for something they are good at.
* Every 24hours you can choose a skill of the ladder.. this way players will not want their pvp-rating to drop on purpose, and the rating will become real, showing who is good at pvp.
This is just an idea, its not deeply worked out. some things of it have been suggested before,
all feedback is welcome
HCS wants to connect the reward directly to the pvp rating... Just like my idea was back then when they first introduced prestige.
