Okay here's a crazy idea that probably won't see the light of day in practice for a while if ever. Tell me what you think. One-on-One pvp battles where both players have put up items as a prize for victory.
Player A has Item X in his Duel Request slot.
Player B has Item Y in his Duel Request slot.
Player B accepts Player A's Duel Request and waits.
Player A sees that Player B is one of three players to accept his Duel Request. Player A accepts Player B's Duel Request and so the Duel commences at the end of the server day.
PvP arena moves are possibly applied here and the Duel is a best two out of three battles.
Player A wins the first and third battle, winning the prize that Player B had placed in his Duel Request slots.
Each Player would have only 1 slot for items and 1 Duel Request, with additional Duel Request max item slots per Request and/or Duel Requests from paying fsp for upgrades.

A sought of fun idea but I doubt that if this were to happen that there would be many who would want to risk items. And the items that players offer as a prize would probably be cheapy items. Aswell as this, the player who makes the first offer is at an disadvantage as the player who accepts the offer could look on their profile and switch to a setup that could beat it.

Hmm...what if there was a separate setup for the Duel Request that couldn't be viewed by other players?
That way it would be a total surprise for the challenge acceptor.
The equipment shouldn't be changeable once the Duel Request is activated so unless the Request is canceled, the equipment is unavailable for use.
It would be like extra backpack slots for players but that might be balanced fsp spending wise by being able to spend to increase the number of Duel Requests that a player can make or take.
Hmm what if the equipment you put in the setup is what is being wagered? If the setup were a mystery except for what slots it takes up (helmet, armor, etc.) as well as the rarity of each piece of gear that might be interesting.
As for the quality of items put up, who knows? There are plenty of players who might have extra stuff they're not using that would be valuable to others. One player's junk is another player's treasure.
