Are you fricken kidding me? We can't talk to our friends the way we like? Yeah, if this means what I think it does then I'm sorry but that's just one step too far for me.

Does kinda seem a bit over the top and communist leaning.

I can see why they have done it but on the other hand if the game/guild probs were sorted we wouldn't need this 'over the topness'.

The main reason for this was due to the Free RP issue - I'll look to see if we can get it cut down at all :)

Edit mid-post to remove angry rant :) : Thanks, Hoof! I totally get wanting to stifle spammers and scammers and rep-theieves and whatnot, but the current rules punish the rest of us just as much.

Thanks, you guys do try hard i'll say that much. Too many rules make for a diluted game though I think. It is a tough balance though fer sure.

How about a 72 hour long reminder regarding the CHANGE to RP? Since that's the one thing I could see that people shouldn't or wouldn't already know about. Then take it down once that period is over and people have been sufficiently informed.

I cannot express how truly, totally irritated I am by this, hoof. I did not and do not like the recruitment thing on the side of my screen, but I have been successfully able to ignore it most of the time - this will REALLY drive me through the wall.

I don't like the idea of being told what I can say to my friends and the manner in which I can say it.. More than anything I don't like the thought of my pm's being monitored. This is too big brother-ish. :x

Hoof, listing the rules is good. However, no autofilter of any kind should be implemented.

If anyone has objections about messages sent to them, there's always "[ Report Message ]".

Anything automated is REALLY BAD.

What if I speak Polish to some Polish friend, and a regular Polish word turns out to be something your English filter doesn't like? I'll go suspended for nothing. Besides, if my adult friends don't mind f-words and s-words, I see nothing wrong with using them.

Dear HCS,

My wife and I play this game. You have no business reading my personal messages to her. You should be ashamed of your selves for being so narrow mined, so uncreative and so limited in your abilities to cure a problem that you created.

Sincerely,

HisShadow

An autofilter shouldn't be necessary at all. Isn't it very simple....just like begging is not allowed for which people can be reported, include that offering free RP is something people can be reported for. And of course abuse of reporting gets a response too....everything solved and no reason to terminate conversations between people who have been friends years before FS even was thought of.

... so let me see if I get this right ... you have removed the offending text from when you send a private message, but you are still going to auto filter private messages between players and ban then for the use of certain words? ... HCS, can you please confirm? ...

I'm not sure where this was even implied?

We don't monitor your messages and will only examine a message if it is reported to us.
