Nice update but wont it promote trade of rp even more?

Not really. the last update raising the cost did more to encourage trading than anything so far. The incentive to trade is the risk of losing the fee paid to initiate the conflict and get nothing for it. Raising the cost increased the incentive by amping up what you had to lose

This was a nice and fast surprise! Thanks!

Now we just need longer retention in the Guild Mailbox and a clear notifier when items are in it and I'll be one happy camper about this latest update :)

I like the flat price, but 50k seems way to low to me...

It is a bit too low imo, but still better than 10k. ;)

May i ask why it has to be FSP + gold if its going to remain fixed from now on? What if FSP prices fluctuate to 200K or 250K per FSP?

Cost could be directly 2 FSP, flat for any guild one may initiate against. Its low enough to relieve guilds that so far paid millions per conflict and high enough to cut down some of the profits of RP traders.

a band-aid solution but still might be better solutions.

is there a cap to when you don´t win any GvG-rating -- guild A with 1500 rating wins over guild B with 800 rating << does guild A win any rating?

Cause if that is the case GvG-ladder will quickly turn into same shambles as PvPladder.

Hi all,

We have reviewed your feedback on the forum and as such changed the gold cost to initiating a Guild Conflict to 50,000 gold.

~ The Fallen Sword Team

So, great now you've (once again) listened to the Big, Powerful & Wealthy. Time to turn your ear to the portion of players who aren't so loud about all the updates and change the "4 player minimum in a guild to initiate conflict thingy", to so that 4 participants can be allowed in all GvGs, but you don't have to have that many people in your guild to actually start the conflict.

Thank you!

Thanks for listening :) 50k is still a bit to low though IMO, it is a great improvement over the 10k fee that the RP guilds had before :) I think that 75-100k would probably keep GvG's from being something that every Tom, Dick, and Harry thinks they can do with out some serious investment. With your new changes it takes a player about 9 fsp in gold costs (150k per FSP) and another 25 fsp for the conflicts with another 10 for the guild. so a total of 44 fsp paid to turn over to 250-300ish for the lowest RP item. this is not including stam costs, most of this type of GvG would not be defended anyways unless the initiator made a mistakes as to who they initiated against... That of course assumes only 1 conflict per day... Any ways my point is that they could possibly make a 200-250ish profit in 30 days by doing nothing except spam attacks... Anyone else who wants to make that amount has to put in a lot more stam and/or time and a lot more investment as well.

Edit: forgot that the Skull only needs 250 RP and not 300

I'm not against less expensive gold cost for GvG...I still think some should cost more than others though...Please consider making GvG's costs increase as a guild has more active conflicts.

In all honesty, when you change your mind like this in 24 hours it just makes the decision makers at Hunted Cow Studios look like idiots.

Do you think if the President of the United States makes a decision and then comes out 24 hours later and says "woops, we'll just listen to feedback", he would get any respect? Not even close.

All this does is undermine your authority and ability to make logical decisions in the first place.

What I want to know is... "What was the logic and decision making process that led to the decision to charge higher level guilds more gold in GvG?" Who was the person that suggested this and what were his reasons behind it? What was the HCS group response? Was there debate and discussion?

I'm more confused and less hopeful there are any constructive changes being made to this game. You might as well throw darts after a dozen beers, make the change and wait for who shouts the most about it. That seems to be the M.O. with changes in the game.

Grow some cajones and make solid, good decisions the first time that you actually thought through and then stick to your decisions for at least a week.

This "woops, I guess we riled up too many people" decision making process is embarressing.

won't cut down on profits....extra expense will be passed on as part of the price for the items. The crystal skull and gorgon tears both jumped around 200 fsp when the cows set the cost based upon guild level.

Does nobody but the traders pay attention to these little details?

How about we just beat the crap out of each other in GvG like we are supposed to, instead of just doing it for RP. Funny how it works, the higher your rating the more you want it to go down.

That is not the deal anymore as the GvGs cost now 50k for everyone. Will probably last as long as the last GvG initiation price rule.
