Ok, I know what many of you are going to say, but I just came up with a reason why bounty hunters should not be allowed to be bountied. Unlike a PvPer when they get put on the bounty board, they can make free hits against the player that put them on the bounty board. Bounty Hunters can't typically do that since their target is typically beyond the 5 level range.

I just got 1 FSP bountied. My crime, I cleared someone's bounty with 10 stam hits. Some people are just jerks I guess, but still. I couldn't even hit them while I was on the bounty board.

Well, you knew that you could get bountied when you clicked the attack button. Yeah, it sucks, just make sure you add an extra 0 onto that 10 next time you clear their bounty.

If they're on the board once, they be back.

Well you could hit them regardless of level, causing double XP loss when you took the bounty, so it kind of evens out..make sure you properly allocate 900 stamina next time you see him up there..if he is low level, wait for him to level up a couple of months :)

That's the general plan, but doesn't make me feel any better at the moment. Time to put the keyboard down and step away from the computer for bit. :)

I feel your pain, Balian. I was the one who cleared you, in fact, lol.

Bounty hunting implies risk. That's a good thing, it keeps people who aren't willing to jump in the pool from playing the game.

If you couldn't bounty the hunter, what would stop someone who doesn't like me from 100 stamming me while I'm on the board?

If you say they can only use 10 stam hits, then what about them hitting me 9 times, and then leaving me up on the board? They've just equivalently 180 stammed me, and set me up for another 200 stam worth of exp loss from whoever eventually clears me.

And really, if you get bountied, use it to your advantage. Switch setups on your hunter, test out the buffs you had (you had some great ones) and test the limits of your PvP knowledge. You might learn something that'll help you later on down the road when you're 100 stamming certain wusses who counter bounty =]

I have to agree with Grave on this... Just because you wish to take on and punish an offender... does not mean that you wont be punished by them... it happens... and Grave is right, its a learning opportunity.

Judge not, Lest ye be judged... something like that.

...and if you see that player on the board again make sure you give them a reason to bounty you :)

It is a PVP game and for that reason anyone can be bountied, im pretty sure it would work that way in real life too. :D

Smack an ally or two and get them to bounty you ( looks at grave  )...lol..it's always nice entertainment and a good way to test out some setups/buffs ...Unless of course someone else starts 100 stamming you...then it just makes it even more FUN  ( I ended up trying to defend against a level 800 player today .It was FUN  )

Counter bounties will always happen...just remember who it was and give em a few smacks next time they are on the BB....meanwhile have some fun up there on the board...who knows you might make a new friend 8)

Yeah, I can see the abusibility of not being able to bounty the hunter. Yes I know it is not without risks. As for the bounty, I had 3 players on it, and didn't want to prolong it any more than necessary by changing gear.

Looks at Grave..

Guess I'll be seeing you soon. :) Maybe I won't give you a reason to hit me. :))

...and if you see that player on the board again make sure you give them a reason to bounty you :)

If I ever take another one of his bounties, I guess I'll have to do it that way, since the precedent will be there for him to bounty me back. :)

I found out later that when I took the bounty he was wearing a Chrystal ring and it got distroyed during the bounty. As a result he got ticked, and I think that was the reason for the bounty.

It is a PVP game and for that reason anyone can be bountied, im pretty sure it would work that way in real life too. :D

Yeah, kinda hard to counter bounty when your not around.

Still I see how it would be very abuseable in the game.

*shrugs* Same could be said of leveling.... Just wish some would realize not everything is for their specific part of the game.... I'm rambling now. lol

Was just curious.

I'd say the massive majority of players in FS do actually mainly level tbh. I never call FS a levelling game though. Just really annoys me when people say that.. It's not a 'PvP game' it's a game that has PvP in it sure..

True... in my opinion, it needs leveling, PvP, GvG, and all the options to be considered a game. Without any one of the major features PvP. leveling, or GvG. This game would be lame.... lol

So saying it is focused on any one of these IS false, I agree.
