Suppose that this latest titan dropped a 700 item but was found at level 30 instead of level 730 and also that the titan had stats which could be handled somewhat easily by level 30 players. Suddenly the FFS advantage (the number of people they have over, say, level 400 or 550 or 700) is gone. In that case there would be no real need for people to try and find their way up and in to FFS but perhaps to start their own guild (or stay in their existing guild and show some loyalty).
You wouldnt see a lot of diffences in the outcome of where the wins end up, regarding the 3-4 dominating guilds..We/they could spare 5 member slots for a number of faster low level hunters that we do not recruit now because they can only hunt Ogalith under present circumstances..The competition would be greater but i am confident we/they would adapt eventually.
The hurtful thing to the game as a whole though would be that people would find no incentive in leveling up to Titan hunt
So effectively HCS is changing the guild environment to create (and favor) a few very high level guilds - WHETHER THEY INTENDED THAT TO HAPPEN OR NOT. I for one think it is an unintended consequence of the creation of titans but when they give the appearance of acceding to high level players/guilds complaints about an item's stats, they sure make it seem as though it is all very one sided and intentional. As was noted earlier, there are a large number of useless elite items out there that have complaints around them which were not fixed to make them useful.
FFS success in Titans is indeed an unintended consequence since the introduction of Titans 10 months ago..Back then we were a hardcore leveling guild that only recruited the most active and fast leveling people to be able to catch TEW in the #1 spot..When Titans first came out we noticed that we were the guild with the most green dots, high level people to kill Titans in 1-2 hits and a good deal of smart brains that had mastered other areas of the game willing to think things through on how to turn our advantages to winning strategies. We were initially spanked hard by Evolutions and had a good deal of losses against Czechs and TEW but we finally became competitive and found out that we could use Titans to our benefit by selling drops and generate stam profit for the whole guild..
The above is not intended to be read as gloating about my guild..its just to say "If we did it, so many others can right now". I am actually very surprised to see that, just like GvG specialized guilds, there arent any Titan hunting special guilds that would look for -and attract- good hunters..even if ranking for RP is the best a guild could consistenly do, it defenitely beats GvG in rewards and fun in the process of creating RP Epics.
As for HCS "favoritism" towards big guilds when implementing changes, it just isnt there..Big guilds, just like high level players with a great deal of personal upgrades, are more FLEXIBLE to adapt to whatever new is coming..Be it levels of players, gold to be used, teamwork for a purpose etc
