You can't seem to grasp the value of loyalty and the way it was rewarded recently...we don't receive tokens from log in's prior to the update, with donations, we do. Some say 'You cant buy loyalty with money' ...its a virtue as valued as love and honour, and the oldies are not getting enough love!

So why is loyalty not rewarded to the same extent of currency contributions?

No response, just a spelling check :P

Well done. You just wasted 2 mins of your life pointing out spelling mistakes...very mature lol and quite ironic as you back HCS on this point and their developers have regularly made spelling mistakes :P are they not intelligent. I sometimes have bad spelling, but i could tell you that to your face 'no problem' ... mister 'never misspelled anything' :)

Now now, no need to get hostile, we won't be having any face to face nonsense. I was merely bored.

Ya know, I don't post on this forum very often.. but this one I couldn't pass up, because this isn't the first time I've heard people complaining about players who donate to a game being treated better that players that dont... Case in point.. I pay $6 a month to be a member on another very popular browser based MMORPG I wont mention names, just incase its a banworthy offense... but I'm sure some of you know which one it is.. if not. oh well..<_<

I have non member friends who b**ch and moan all the time when new updates to the game are made because "they're members only updates" well poo on you! I'm one of millions of players who is payin $6 a month so you can play for free, so quit yer b**chin...

Same thing here.... Noone HAS to donate.. but those who do are keepin this game ad free, spammer free(as best as possible), etc.. So whoopdee do if HCS decides to offer a program that gives a little incentive for throwin a few bucks into making thier company better so they can give us a game with close to 900 levels, and I'm sure more on the way (AMIRIGHT?) If you can't donate money.. Sorry.. TBH... the 4700 tokens I recieved today I shouldn't even have... I haven't really been in any kind of situation in the last 3 years where I SHOULD HAVE donated.. I did so because I had a few bucks layin around here and there and decided to help myself in game...

I guess what my rant really comes down to is this:

If you cant be resourceful and throw a few bucks here and there at the game, then quit complaining... because those of us whom have been able to just buy points with money leftovers, or by saving money from here and there, are keepin your free game going...

1 more thing to those of you complaining about this update being "unfair"

How many of you have actively REFUSED to donate simply because "the game is free"

First off what people don't seem to realize is that activity loyalty IS getting rewarded just not retroactively. Secondly, with that understood it is evident that the loyalty reward is handled based on an analysis of benefit. Yes, having people active in the game helps it out, definitely helps provide more of an actual game experience, but the donations by members are what keep the game alive and moving on. As such, the value of a donation is much higher than that of simply playing the game, and therefore will be rewarded more. I'm constantly shocked by the amount of people that get so caught up in themselves that they fail to realize that in any game you play online those that donate to the game WILL receive more benefits in that game than those that don't. Ultimately, I view this bonus more as an additional incentive for those who wish to donate to the game. Yes, FSP is their reward for donating to the game BUT it is possible to get FSP in other ways with a little more difficulty and at a slower pace. Likewise, with this update, it is possible to get the loyalty points by means other than donating. It just happens at a slower pace. Really there is no need to give points for logging on each day, BUT the cows in a state of generosity obviously decided that they would continue with the trend that this is a game that can be fully played without donating to the game. Yet, for some reason, people continually complain because they didn't get exactly what they want. If you have played any amount of free online games other than this one most out there seem to be only there in order to make money. HCS has offered a very balanced system that inspires donation and rewards donation but by no means requires it in order to feel like a valid player within the game. On a completely different aspect than the sheer fact that so many players here want to whine and complain when they are given something but not everything that they want, it is a lot easier for HCS to backtrack through logs of donations to the game and reward retroactively for those donations than it is for them to track every players number of days that they have logged into the game. Not to mention that the rewards are granted for each day that is logged in and not just how long it has been since you first started playing the game. You are simply bringing the same kind of case that is brought up with EVERY SINGLE UPDATE that HCS ever has and ever will put forth. The case that X update does not benefit me as much as it benefits that person and *insert additional whiny worthless comments here*

Basically, be thankful for what you get and if you care so much for the game you play then stop whining so much when you don't get your way and start thinking more about the game's benefit. If you can't do this then stop playing...

Exactly! what is 50 AT?! nothing. Been playing for 3 years and have introduced many people to this game, including my mate who has spent easily over one thousand pounds, and that is worth 50 tokens?

Did you not receive a bonus for recruiting this mate of yours? If he used your recruiting link and spent $ as you say, he must have advanced in level to at least the point where you could have received 53 fsps as a bonus reward. Isn't that true? So it isn't true you've received nothing for introducing people to the game, if you've done it properly.

yes

money makes the world go around

money pays for HCS to have servers, to have employees, and to keep this game running

maybe you dont like the world "loyalty", but ultimately, its what keeps this game running, no matter how you slice it

welcome to the real world ;)

Yep yet another real world lesson young people can learn from this game. Consider it payment of sorts and also FREE.

I would like to answer the question given in the Subject of this thread: "Money means loyalty?"

The answer is yes. And you see companies everywhere trying to make more people brand loyal to them by various offerings, and oddly enough, it's normally by giving their customers points on a card that they can trade in for various products/cash back. What HCS is doing now is no different than that. Don't kid yourself when you think this new idea was put into place to keep people logging in. It was made to make HCS more money by rewarding those who do donate, and I foresee more items that will make people want to donate to get them.

Anyway, I have nothing against people who don't donate. It is your choice to not do so.

Yes I think a change in name would be better lol. Loyalty means a few different things. One from donations and also from being loyal to the game through the continuation of being active. Maybe reward players for that as well. May be not - I don't know but change the name.

ie - HCS Supplementary Income Awards.

i cant believe the people i hear complain about this. geez. remember these games are NOT free to do. people must be paid to make the game and keep it up. promoting this game all over the world and paying employees, paying for servers, techs, site. this all requires money. why should the cows pull this money out of their own pocket? no matter what. there is always going to be complainers about something. its not fair. its not fair im playing a free game and the donaters who keep the game alive are getting something and im not. im sorry logging in will not pay the bills. your friends you brought in might pay the bills for the cows.

WOW All of this pointless complaining, just be happy that we got anything at all. personally the potions for the loyalty points are kinda lame. I would have liked to see a High Adept Learner lvl 200-300 or something else more useful then say unbreakable 200.

Just thought I would wade in with a small technical point for this thread.

Retroactive rewarding for log ins is not the same as just looking at your join date. Many players take a break for months at a time, so shouldn't be given tokens for that. Similarly I don't play when on vacation so I have 8+ weeks of not logging in even as an otherwise constant player. 8 weeks in under 2 years isn't huge, but still 8x7x5=420 tokens I wouldn't deserve.

I'm 'meh' towards the donation back tracking but it is at least a constant number. Working out each player's actual activity over the 2+ years the game has run would be a bit more work.

I love the 5 free tokens per day and although I have a significant stock from donations I won't be complaining when those start running out and I still get new ones!

Lol. Nice topic.

Well first of all those who donate like myself support u so u can enjoy a free game. Second of all I couldn't miss ur posts on the FSBox countless times. So I think this thread has nothing to do with the way loyalty points are beeing awarded. It all comes from an inner frustration of some sort.

Third... in my world u pay little u get little, u pay much u get much. In this world here u pay nothing and get alot, u pay much u get tons. HCS treats us all equal as players. If I offend u u can report me and get me terminated...even though u are a non-donor and I'm a big spender. As well HCS does not care for ur game play, sex, age (unless u're under 13), colour, etc...But when it comes to ingame resources....beside those given for free.... u must pay. that's already premium membership :)
