Hello everyone/anyone!

My question is this - Fortitude adds 0.1% per point of defence stat to HP. Does the newly enhanced hit point total, if you are in a defence heavy gear set when you activate the Fortitude buff, become the basis for the Chi Strike buff that adds 0.1% per point of your HP total to your damage? Fortitude does not mention BASE defence, just defence, so Fortitude + Chi Strike could be a useful way of generating extra damage with defence/2 hit set ups. Is this so, or does Fortitude activate after Chi Strike and thus render the potential beneficial synergy of these two buffs ineffective?

Thanks for any answers/sharing of experiences with this. I have not seen much discussion of this option, and wonder if it is basically because my hopes in this direction are unfounded. Or is it just that the % of defence added to hit points that then becomes a % of enhanced hit points added to damage just doesn't become that much more damage in the end?

I'll stop now so I put no more question marks in here!

Chi Strike activates after fortitude. In most cases the increase is very little, often just enough to cover variance in the creatures stats at combat. If you are using this setup, make sure you are also using constitution, as this will give you more HP with Fortitude.

It's nice for a little extra, but it's not game breaking.
