Changes to Epic Quests

Why can't you answer the simple question that has been asked many many many times here. If we have complete the quest already will we be able to redo it. I would think that after rolling out a completely untested quest, making your customers test it, slapping them in the face by binding un binding then binding on a time line, then throwing it in our face that we can loose the work we did or roll back the entire community... maybe.. just maybe you might address this issues.
It's usually your most loyal and active players that do these things first and forge the way for others and as a nice little treat for them you turn the incompetence of the situation into a punishment for them.
Will we be allowed to redo the quest if we have done it before?
It's not that hard to answer.

Finally a quest worth doing in stead of the usual low XP throwaway item type ..
and they do it again .. untested, under influence of a few shouters .. here they go again
This game is rapidly turning into something you would not recommend

you have to understand that the quest was never intended to be as easy as it was. Its like giving away an EPIC item for a normal quest reward. Hence the changes and also the item changes.
The game mechanics are complex, flooding the game with epic items was not intended. I mean if we did a roll-back you would loose it all - would you rather have the epic items or loose it altogether?
A roll-back please

WHERE IS THE DAMNED EARTH TITAN ANYWAY
Probably sitting on a temple. They don't show on the maps when on a temple.
Personally, I'd be happier WITHOUT a rollback - I like my flamey level 700 sword. My guildmates who bought stuff were pissed, but the temporary un-bind fixed that.
The gear is unbound, and prices are higher. Merchants should rejoice.
Now that I have calmed down - giving folks a week to decide what to do, then re-binding to (effectively) take the Epics out of the game actually makes sense.

I can't believe I can't do the "epic" epic quest now because I did the easy one like you wanted. What kind of logic is that.
Come on....

make a new quest where the reward is a recipe to upgrade our current epics to the new super stated ones.

That is an excelent idea. But if people have sold items and such they will have another quest they cannot do.
Well, U cannot please everyone, and if they went into the quests to sell the items, well.. they have done so and had their earnings from it.
They can most likely buy the epics back from AH within the next week anyways, making a good profit on it as well.
This has to be the biggest mess I have ever seen in this game btw... U should have let it be the way it was, and just improved the next EQ... this is.. well.. patch upon patch upon patch upon patch upon patch .. making the quests truly epic: Epic Phale !
No one can deny that we changed this game and influenced it in such a way that NO ONE could compete with us.. so much so that they changed the rules. ~Abhorrence, chosen founder of Cerulean Sins

Forn you have to understand, that you can bind all the old epic items or even get rid of them/rollback. Or just let us do the new quest and lock/terminate the old items.
BTW WTF IS UP WITH THE POSTING LOOK DOWN!
or make it so that it takes so much to get a recipe and once the recipe is used successfully once, it cannot be regained.

At least one new post has been made to this topic. You may wish to review your post in light of this. WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?

If they sold them its their own fault, I think this is probably the best solution to the current problem, or just add a Final step to each of the current quests the requires the 2700 or so Kills to unbind and upgrade the weapons.

This is your answer? Honestly?
You're the ones that first ADDED stamina gain and XP gain to the items to make them more powerful. BEFORE changing the quantity of Titans to kill.
Then you increased the damage stat on each one. Again, before you made the quests more difficult.
Now you want to make the quests more difficult (completely in the wrong order) and this is your solution?
What the heck are you guys smoking?
Why not roll it back completely, make the Epics not overly powerful (maybe like they are now or worse stats) and have 500 kills or something?
I would rather lose these damn crappy bound items and have my FSP back and from then ignore all new updates until they are tested and decided, as FS is its own beta. So yeah, scrap the damn epics, roll back so i can have my FSP back. at least its xxx times better than this.

You have unbound the items, so those who sold them can buy them back. It still seems the fairest solution

Due to these changes, the original Epic quest reward has been reborn with stronger stats to reflect the new difficulty level of the quests.
will the new one be bound as well?

So a few hundred players got lots of powerful epics? Ok... Bound them after a week but DO NOT nerf the ones that are already here (which is essentially what you're doing by making a more powerful version).

Simplest idea. Do nothing. Leave the quests as they are, learn, get it right next time. Whatever you do now is going to annoy the hell out of someone, you really don't want to know what I've been hearing people say just now..

You messed up. Big. Please stop with your knee-jerk reactions. The flood gate is closed for the new Epic items and you now have a few options that have been said in here.
1.) Rollback. It sucks, no one likes them. But it is the only way to restore everyone to an equal standing.
2.) Merge the old Epic items with the new ones to where there are not two versions and leave the quest in its new stage to keep the flood gate closed. The people who got through in the first 24hrs will be lucky. But, it was your mistake afterall.
3.) A quest to update the old Epic item into the new. Too many people have sold their items. This will only create more chaos.
My vote is option 2. This is YOUR mistake. Do not punish us for it by making us replay our last 24hrs or screwing over people who have already bought/sold/upgrade the items.
