Please keep opinions to other threads. I'd like this to be a simple matter of gauging community reaction to the new weapons and how they balance versus existing itemization.

Its going to be hard to just nerf them now without having a rebellion..since damage is overpowered, lets have a next batch of 200,400,600,800 Armors with insane armor stats, lol

/bump for more votes. Measures like this are one of the few ways Cows can effectively gauge feedback, folks.

Im afraid this wont happen, but yes, i think the stats before the Reborn version were already more than enough. I feel that are now are really too high (and ive already made the quests)

Honestly... I voted no.

As pointed out before, there will ALWAYS be better and better stuff added into the game. HOWEVER, i feel that (especially for levels ~30-130, and i feel other levels after that are the same), the monsters need to be re-done. They are ridiculously easy to kill... and make for leveling made too easy.

As long as Creatures are occasionally updated to be made harder, it shouldnt matter how much damage a person can get. Maybe a monster with stats so that you'd have to fight in full defense, or armor, or both?

My argument is essentially: Evolution is evident, the creatures need to evolve to adapt

Perfectly acceptable that new and better gear will always be added.

However, you're okay with the fact that these items supercede other epics of much higher level in the same slot? And not just old epics, epics released within the last four to six months.

For example, the Earthen Hammer is now better than any other hunting setup for a full 184 levels, given a simple EW1k. Brides, instead of lasting for a hundred levels or more itself, lasts a mere 16 before it's right back to Octo + Water Trident.

This makes absolutely no sense. These items were great pre "reborn" status - why did they need to get better?

okay... then how about not a NERF, but a change in stats, would be better imo. and maybe a nerf to those stats... i dont see why they have to have so much damage, and ~1/3 the damage in attack... its ridiculous... add some skill into the game... Damage is NOT everything
(not directed at you Gravely, but others ;))

You're aware that from a raw stat point value, the Earth Hammer has more stat points than the Man of War Sword, right? Except one is level 300 minimum, the other is 400....

To be clear, when I put "nerf" up there as an option, I'm arguing for a return to non reborn stats, not a nerf in terms of going lower than that baseline.

Makes sense... and in that, i agree with you :)

but i still think this obsession with 1-hitting is getting ridiculous... and they should change this... but i dont think they will :(

I lol'ed.

Killing monsters in 1 hit will always be the most efficient way to level, thus the obsession.

@ the OP. I agree. Raw stat points should be in line with other epics. It should have more than the GvG amulet, but less than the blue man sword that's for sure.

True, 1-hitting MAY be the most efficient way to level... but it shouldnt always be possible to do so...

I didn't start needing tons of buffs and the best equipment until around level 235ish.... Don't think i started needing DD until around 300. My point is - the creatures have always been easy at your level; and i've yet to encounter any basic creatures that weren't 1-hittable with the right mix of buffs and equipment. Adding 200-300 damage to the equation doesn't really matter - i can one hit at my level with ursa sword... Hell, the other day i didn't feel like using EW1500, so i threw on destroyer, argus, and crushing fist ring... and was 1-hitting 401-404 mobs barely buffed!

Anyway, i voted NO. But i agree that these items have made other epics obsolete (i don't care about them breaking up legandary sets, because epic is supposed to be much more powerful than them)

What i think needs to be done is:
- Add 400 or so Attack (to push it to 1000) to the Blue Man Sword. Or do something to it that makes it a very useable Arena item. It wouldn't make sense to give it damage because even if it gets 1500 or so - no one is going to want it still.
-Add about 600 Damage to the Mace of Colossus. This would make it worth hunting, and would be really reflective of a mace that belonged to him.

You don't see any issue with needing 5, on the outside 6, weapons from levels 100-900 for hunting purposes? That doesn't scream broken game mechanics to you?
