As pointed out before, there will ALWAYS be better and better stuff added into the game. HOWEVER, i feel that (especially for levels ~30-130, and i feel other levels after that are the same), the monsters need to be re-done. They are ridiculously easy to kill... and make for leveling made too easy.

I didn't start needing tons of buffs and the best equipment until around level 235ish.... Don't think i started needing DD until around 300. My point is - the creatures have always been easy at your level; and i've yet to encounter any basic creatures that weren't 1-hittable with the right mix of buffs and equipment. Adding 200-300 damage to the equation doesn't really matter - i can one hit at my level with ursa sword... Hell, the other day i didn't feel like using EW1500, so i threw on destroyer, argus, and crushing fist ring... and was 1-hitting 401-404 mobs barely buffed!

Anyway, i voted NO. But i agree that these items have made other epics obsolete (i don't care about them breaking up legandary sets, because epic is supposed to be much more powerful than them)

What i think needs to be done is:
- Add 400 or so Attack (to push it to 1000) to the Blue Man Sword. Or do something to it that makes it a very useable Arena item. It wouldn't make sense to give it damage because even if it gets 1500 or so - no one is going to want it still.
-Add about 600 Damage to the Mace of Colossus. This would make it worth hunting, and would be really reflective of a mace that belonged to him.

It also helps to have all Level-up points in Damage... (mine are in attack ;))

but i truly think the Cows should re-do alot of the monsters...make leveling about knowing your gear (of all stat types), having to go full defense/some attack just to survive a hit from a monster, but needing minimal damage to kill... (and other builds)

it would fix all these weapons with "excessive" damage, and (im sure) would have alot of people screaming for a gear re-working as well

I ve missed your criticism on how game-breaking empowered relics are :P

Well of course :D but the relics that gave +% weren't introduced until i was about level 250. I also was in a different guild that had no relics, and unforged equipment until around leve 190. Was still able to 1-hit pretty easy.

You don't see any issue with needing 5, on the outside 6, weapons from levels 100-900 for hunting purposes? That doesn't scream broken game mechanics to you?

Let's go from 200 on without the epics/new items (using the "hunting guides" site):
- Inferno Hammer lasts until 280.
- Detroyer Set lasts from 280 to 399 (and beyond)
- Sword of Ursa lasts until 420. Then mixtures of Doth, and Magic Spear until 484.
- Brides set from 484 until 600+ (with mixtures of Magic Spear, Captain, and a few others here and there)

So from 200-600, without epics, there's only 9-10 weapons used, and 4-5 for the bulk of that time. Now that'll be mostly turned into 3 weapons. But i would imagine that there may still be times when it's going to be more appropriate to not use one of the epics. When some extra attack of the bonuses from a set are going to be needed.

Balaurs and several common weapons also make appearances. They all vanish if this update stays as is.

Simplifying the game may seem like a good thing on face, but games like these thrive on gear complexities, not simplicities....

All im saying is the game is already pretty simple. Throwing in a few common weapons here and there probably isn't even necessary with relics in play. And the vast majority of people at high levels are in guilds with relics.

Does it breakup some pretty legendary/SE valuable sets and inventing items? Yes, and i would probably be more ticked if i were merchanting and had a lot of these items in my BP.

But, does it make the game any more easy? Not really, maybe by 5%. The game is already pretty easy.

And it's not like these items are going to be super available to anyone who wants them. Other than the level 100 epic - i doubt there's more than 100 of each of the other epics. I believe the price of these epics will shoot up pretty high over the coming weeks and months; i'd bet you still see people hunting with destroyer and brides sets.

Our guild has 5 hammers that I know of, and 1 of every weapon tagged. You don't need a personal weapon per person since these aren't bound.

Relics made/make hunting easier, but for a select portion of the game population. These epics are available to just about anyone.

Will some people out there lose out? Yes. Will the majority of guilds (95% of the top 250 guilds) have access to at least 3 out of the 4 weapons? Yes.

60% is game-breaking, I am saddened by the fact that you don't realize this. I had asked for 20% cap on relics, it has been implemented and I feel any more would simply take the game from easy to trivial.

But yes, tweaking the game so that it becomes a challenge to the minority with relics is a bad idea as it turns the game from a challenge to a headache for those without. Anything extra that guilds earn through economy of size should be considered as such, and not as the norm. It's easy to forget it being in a top guild but the majority of the game are casual players.

i think that the game should become more challenging from level 900 on wards.

iirc, before we had the level 400+ buffs, after 186 you HAD to 2 hit....

why not start that up again?

honestly, nerfing these epics is only the first step to balancing this game out again... but that is only my opinion, and not much I can do about it :P
