Flinch not working properly?

i do hope they'll repair the buffs until this friday. don't want to loose again with this buffs on me.


Oggy, Skally and Tsuki will be enough to keep your stam down until Flinch is fixed for your Colossus hunts ;)

I had the same issue with the colossus over the weekend. I double and triple checked my spreadsheet and I shouldn't have been getting hit like I was.

Okay, now I understand how I went through 5 full imps yesterday on my hunt instead of the typical 1 imp in a hunt;. I was missing way more than I should have and I did have both DC225 and Flinch going. There's definitely a problem somewhere.

Not so much as a "we'll look into it" from any of the cows?? C'mon please!

question to everyone here -- were you running CONST250, or even 175 for that matter? i remember long ago i calculated what i needed for fuvya, and with flinch it was plenty of def. however, i was still getting hit way too much. for some reason, when i put on CONST, the problem went away. i know that doesn't solve anything, but could be a link/clue.

I was running const 175 initially but I switched to 250 AND changed some gear to get by. I hadn't narrowed it down to flinch problem at the time but I'll check the stats when I get home and see if it adds up.

EDIT: All those darn changes and testing wound up costing me a few RP. I finished less than 30 kills behind 5th place. :?

I have had a few issues losing with a group that shouldn't have been hit when flinch was running but obviously cannot say with certainty it was that and not something else failing.

For example I have collected complaints by guildys who lost in GvGs when their defense should have been enough to win - the things they had in common when I could verify that my guy hadn't missed something is that flinch was running and last ditch had just activated. It seems as likely to me that there is a glitch with last ditch.

The worst example I saw was a mate who had at least 3 times more defense than necessary and still got hit after LD went off.

I had Con 250.

I did most calculations in my head as it's pretty basic math and even when I thought it was having an off day my pc calculator was proving there was something wrong :P

I'm glad this came up - in my hunt yesterday I repeatedly missed the Scale Monk Strongman - who has max defence 958! My attack was 2781!! Missed 4 times in 1 level - way more than 2% miss, and he does not have dodge enhancement!! So now at least I know I was not alone in my puzzlement and irritation! I had no Flinch active, but did have DC 225 running from an earlier level!!! No constitution running.

I'm glad this came up - in my hunt yesterday I repeatedly missed the Scale Monk Strongman - who has max defence 958! My attack was 2781!! This sounds just like bad luck. 4 misses per level are quite usual, slightly above normal.

Well, I wasn't responding to you, but to another guy who had the reverse problem, not hitting when he should.

Aye, if suiciding with IMP you can expect to die around 2-4 times depending how nice the creature is that day :)

The Xind Imperial Demon set is now defensive, instead of split between defensive and armor. :)


please take a look at the buffs. DC, Flinch, Constitution, Nightmare visage and savagery.


We'll check into this as soon as possible. :)

hahaha you have to love cowtime. Raise max stam?

I'm inclined to say that it makes the game more or less unplayable as we have known it. Should we have to "guess" what stats are required against mobs or in PvP? Sure, it's possible to play with stats by adding more attack or defense or both but is that what a player really wants to be doing when we've all been accustomed to the game mechanics and buffs working in a described way?

I'll wait. I have a good amount of max stam, but that could mean I'm waiting a while...

Should we have to "guess" what stats are required against mobs or in PvP?


So far it looks that only Flinch is bugged, I'm sure that if DC didn't work there would be much more noise - so the problem is a small annoyance (more imps consumed) unless you're doing 2hits and need the defense - and there are only a few creeps that cannot be 1hit with CA75, especially with the new epics... (Educated guess, didn't bother to check on all old 2hits)
