Does anyone else think that there is something seriously wrong with this situation?
After putting in time, stamina, buffs, potions, etc etc etc...and this is what the Guild obtains for its efforts!
I'm not sure if the HCS have definitively addressed this issue but I'm hoping that they can shed some light on the situation?
Is this the past, present and future of Titan Elementals?

if you want rp then dont kill enoguh titans and hang around for 2-5 place

I submitted a ticket last week and xakano confirmed that the coders are to add rp to first place, and to retrospectively award rp to past winners.

It is also in HCS interest that people try to kill the titan ASAP, therefore less epic items will be introduced into the game.

why should there be rp? ...if you're ranked first , you got most kills and thus , you will get the epic at a faster rate. that is a good enough reward
Not if you already have the epic
Hence why RP and kills towards your medal should be scraped, otherwise these Titans will continue to be farmed for both.

They are only tweaking the RP allocation on the titans. I think you can still get your medals and items out of them.

The quests attached to these titans yield some of the most powerful items in the game..
Khan - this is the crux of the massive problem with these quests. If they were originally implemented the way in which the HCS intended we wouldn't be having this conversation now. As pretty much every active player above level 100 would be crammed into the Land of the Elements trying to get 1000s of kills on the titans for the lovely new Epics. It would have made a "proper" LE seem like a picnic and there would have been a lot of game issues due to it. Now you can buy the javelin in the AH for 95 fsps.
I hadn’t planned on posting again as I asked a question to which PabloBison replied 12 minutes later. But after the commentary that has since appeared I'll give you a quick overview of my morning to put "500 kills on the titan for an epic" in context...and why I think that ANYTHING that can be done to increase the amount of competition on it is a good thing.
At ~7:30am I noticed that a guildmate was after Oggy....so I jumped into a hectic hunt...quite a lot of competition on the map and we pulled in a 2nd place. The 3 second delay on killing the titan was driving me nuts though...and I really hope that the HCS look at reducing this.
Had a group ready so wandered around looking for a dance with Pinoldar...found him just before 10am...the point of this is to let you know the earliest time I could have started hunting the Fire Guardian Titan.
As I still had some stam I chased the Elemental Titan until my stam ran out. In less than 2 hours I was 21 kills away from finishing the quest for an Epic item. 2 hours for an Epic item! I'm based in Ireland so my ping to Florida is 271 ms, download 5 Mbps, upload 0.37 Mbps. I'm far from being the fastest hunter out there but spending such a short amount of time for such a significant reward seems astounding to me. Also, this titan had been around for 9 hours before it was killed!
I haven't posted much on this topic so far as I wanted some definitive proof as to how the system currently works.
Basically - a hunter based in Europe, with an ok broadband connection, can obtain an Epic item by hitting a titan for 2 hours.
And a lot of people think that it should be easier to finish the titan quest?!? I suppose I shouldn’t be but I really am amazed. We need to keep challenges that you have to work hard for in the game...not remove them. Compare this with the amount of time, resources and fsps required to create any other epic item.
I know that a large number of players obtained the Epics after killing 1 titan...and there have been pages upon pages written about this. But my post only concerns the way that the current system works...or, more to the point, doesn't.

Yes! It sickens me that HCS continues to release new stuff and then proceeds to IGNORE the feedback regarding the very new aspect that is implemented...Does anyone else think that there is something seriously wrong with this situation

Thus they should be left for the quests and not for guilds to farm for RP. I would love to see them not count towards your medal as well. That would hopefully leave them there for the questers.

Yes, I agree.... IF the kills needed were and actual EPIC amount.... but they're not. 500 is NOT that many, especially for the higher level ones with more HP and less competition.
These new items are pretty damn epic, from what I can see.
The level 100 Javelin compared to an Inferno hammer when both fully forged has only *4 points* less damage, much more attack, stam gain +2, comparable max stam boost, and nice enhancements.
So in effect, the inferno Hammer is effectively obsolete by a weapon 100 levels below it and not 'too' hard to get Epic wise.
On to the hammer.... level 300 and beats the level 400 epic sword as well as the other high damage weapons up to 500.
Truly is Epic in stats.
Point being, these items have truly epic stats, so the challenge to get them should be more difficult.
don't leave yet....
Getting back to why this matters, guilds going after the titans for RP or players for their medals makes it harder to get that Epic and before those factors are taken out of the picture, by eliminating RP rewards and counting towards the medal. The kills either need to be significantly raised, or stats on them altered to fit the "difficulty" of going for one.
500 COULD be fair for the lower level titan if there were a juicy first place prize to entice people into smacking it after they get theres. Hereby making it at least a bit of a challenge...... etc

Or you don´t get RP at all. Quests were so messed up that giving RP at this point actually has a touch of sense to it.
